CTMH "Showcase Thursday" - Wishing You...

Good morning and welcome to another CTMH "Showcase Thursday"! This week I wanted to showcase one of our newest paper packs called "Caboodle". Isn't this so cute? Click here and flip to page 18 to see the complete LV1 and 2 paper pack as well as the stickease. I really love this paper. You can use it for anything! I've also used some CTMH prisma glitter on this card as well. I wanted to keep it cute and simple. The stamp set is from Stamping Bella. I thought it was perfect for this project! So, my project for today is a tea bag (or chocolate) holder. You can find the instructions here. It's very simple and fun to do. In fact, I think this was one of the first projects I did when I came across Project Tuesday and loved it!! I've since made a few and everyone loved them. Tmw night is our club night and this is what we'll be making! Unfortunately, the pics don't really do it justice. I just couldn't get the right lighting, but it's very pretty in person! I think the second pic shows the colors the best.

I thought I would enter this in the Cupcake Challenge - Keep It Simple!

These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things...

Hello!! My little niece will turn 4 this Saturday and I wanted to do something special for her. Something she could treasure always. So, I went hunting through my stash and remembered I had bought a memory keeper box from CTMH awhile ago. So, I then went hunting online for idea's and I came across a few challenges, so I tried to incorporate them all into this one little box, for a very special little girl. This box will actually hold a 9x9 album as well. It's a nice size and the front flap is magnetic as well!
  1. Cute Card Thursday Challenge #95 - Pink & Grey!
  2. Stamping Bella - Twinchies OR a 2x2 square
  3. Cupcake Craft Challenge #74 - A Sketch
  4. Flutter By Wednesday Challenge #93 - A butterfly, fairy or angel AND emboss it!

Cute Card Thursday # 76 - Back To School!

This week on Cute Card Thursday, the challenge is 'Back To School'. So, I put my thinking cap on last night to see what I could come up with. So, I decided to make a pencil holder and matching bookmark. My daughter has already staked claim on both! The Labour Day wknd is upon us and hard to believe summer is coming to a close. Especially when we're getting the best weather NOW that we've had all summer! Except the night's are quite cold. We're down to single digits at night now. Oh well, enjoy the days while we can!! Have a wonderful long wknd!

Wishing You....

Busy morning here for me! This is another card I did this morning for 2 challenge entries...
  1. Simon Says Stamp - Buttons and Ribbons!
  2. Mojo Monday - #98, sketch!

I used another of Stamping Bella's new releases called "Cuppa Tea" (comes with a mini and sentiments!) and I LOVE it! I decided to try something different, so I embossed the image in CTMH "Clover Green" and then I used my CTMH "Summer Chalks" to color it in with a Dove Blending Pen. Ribbon, buttons and glitter are all CTMH. Paper is from Pointer's!

Meet Gertie!

Good morning! I'd like to introduce you to "Gertie" from Stamping Bella's new Lulu Collection! Isn't she cute? I decided to use her for a couple challenges this week. I'm using this one for my own Monday challenge this week as well as ...
  1. Allsorts - 3, 2, 1 Challenge (3 flowers, 2 papers, 1 ribbon)
  2. Cute Card Thursday - Challenge #72 'Tealy Good' (using teal and red)

I got back into my CTMH watercolor pencils and water blending pen with this one. For my cuttlebug folders, I used "Paisley" and "Swiss Dots". My patterned paper is from Pointer's...glitter and ribbon is also CTMH.

Have a 'fun'tastic day today, the rain's coming in for the wknd, of course because the Sutton Fair is on!!! Enjoy!

For A Special Girl - Stamping Bella Challenge

Hello there! Well, we are still having really CRAZY weather here in Ontario. Still waiting for summer to come! Last week Emily had a big release down at Stamping Bella, so for this week's Stamping Bella Challenge, a sketch by Paulabella, I chose to use 'Harriet' Lulu from the new 'Lulu' line. I added a little glitter and used my new glaze pen on her as well. I think she turned out pretty cute!!
STAMP: Harriet Lulu and sentiment, both from Stamping Bella
PAPER: Bo Bunny

Just A Note - 2 Challenges!

Good morning! Looks like we may finally be getting our summer here in Ontario. Apparently everyone else has been getting the really hot weather! This is my entry for this week's Stamping Bella sketch Challenge and this week's Our Creative Corner "Triple Play" challenge. We had to choose 3 embellishments out of 6 choices. I chose ribbon, brads and bling! I also paper pieced "Billboardabella" (outfit), one of my favourite techniques!
STAMP: Billboardabella (Stamping Bella) *comes with sentiments*
PAPER: Stamping Bella
EMBELLISHMENTS: All CTMH (ribbon, brads and bling)

Felix KETTO

Another card we did in one of Nicky's classes at Stamping Bella. This one is using "Felix KETTO With A Flower" Again, we did the ribbon technique on this one as well.

Happy Birthday

This is a card I did down at Stamping Bella, with Nicky. This is one of the many KETTO images. You can find more of Nicky's creations here. We colored this one with lyra's and OMS, and the tip Nicky shared with us for this card is the bow. If you look closely, the 'ribbon' on the card is actually a thin pc of CS and then you make your actual bow with ribbon. Saves ribbon AND money and looks great! Thanks, Nicky!

Stamping Bella AND OCC Challenge!

Good morning! Well, we're halfway through the week already, which means new challenge entries! This entry is actually for 2 different challenges. The sketch challenge is from this week's Stamping Bella challenge and you can find it here. If you'd like to play, you have till 5pm EST Thursday, July 16th to enter and all you have to do is email your entry to Emily. Over at Our Creative Corner, this week's challenge is 'Pet Parade'! So I was able to incorporate both challenges into one card and I'm glad because I don't know about you, but it's awfully busy in the summer months. I wanted to add a little texture to my card, so I did both the dogs in Fun Flock.
Thank you to Nancy and Hannah for letting me stamp these cute little dogs! They actually stamp together, but I cut them to separate them.
STAMP: Stamping Bella (sorry, I can't remember the name!)

When Life Deal's You Lemons...Stamping Bella Challenge

I LOVE this little sentiment. I've used it in 2 challenges recently, this being the second. This week's challenge at Bloggabella is another sketch challenge! Awhile back, I went down to Stamping Bella and bought a grab bag of stamps and in it was this lemonade pitcher and sentiment. I used the pitcher and matching sentiment for this week's challenge. I had some lemon paper left, so used that up as well. Added liquid glass to the pitcher for dimension and a little glitter, but I don't think you can see it very well. It looks good in person! Colored with lyra's and OMS.

STAMP AND SENTIMENT: STAMPING BELLA
PAPER: MICHAELS
EMBELLISHMENTS: CTMH GLITTER AND LIQUID GLASS

You're The Best! Stamping Bella Blog Challenge 06/25/09

This is my entry for this week's Stamping Bella blog challenge. Nicky came up with the above sketch and I went to work. I had planned on making something for Ashleigh's teacher, but as the colors emerged, I thought..hmmm, won't really work for Mr Simon! All is well though, as Andrew came home with a gift from Miss Hurwitz, who he had in Gr 5 and has always kept in touch with. We all loved her! We all still keep in touch. He helped her with her fish tanks in the classroom all year, so she gave him a nice card and gift today. So, Miss Hurwitz will be the receiver of this cute card!
If you have time to make an entry of your own, you have till 5pm EST tmw night! Email your entry to Emily and it'll be posted on Friday. You have a chance to win $20 bellabucks for your entry and another chance to win $10 bellabucks just for posting a comment on the entries!
This whole card is made using Stamping Bella products

A Special Girl - Bellarific Challenge For June 19th

This week's challenge over at Bellablog is another sketch and I love it! I love sketches because I find them very inspiring. I had an idea in my head, but it didn't quite work. I had taken a card class with Nicky and we did a card using just the heads of the stamps, so that's what I was going to do...but, my squares are too big, so I went with this instead! The card is 6x6" and the squares are approximately 2x2". I cut them out with a large punch. Below is my incorporation of this week's sketch challenge!

TIP: Another technique that I learned from Nicky is 'paper piecing' which is another thing that I love to do! Stamp your image on white paper, now choose a patterned paper that will incorporate into your finished card and restamp the same image. Cut out and piece onto your orginal stamped image. See below where I've paper pieced the dresses? I just used paper that was already incorporated into my card and I love that it all ties in together. Now it's your turn!

STAMPS: Ivy KETTO and Maisy KETTO (Stamping Bella)
SENTIMENT STAMP: For A Special Girl (Stamping Bella) I had to cut off the 'For' to make it work for my card
PAPER: Dream Street (Stamping Bella)
EMBELLISHMENTS: Baubles (Stamping Bella), Prisma Glitter (CTMH), Flower (Dollarama)
TECHNIQUE: Paper Piecing

Thank You Gift

I showcased this card last week and I couldn't say what it was really for till I had given it to my mother and father in law. Ashleigh decided she wanted to try riding lessons this yr and they were a huge help in finding a place for her to go as well as helping out with lessons. I didn't realize how expensive riding actually is. We are so thankful to them for everything they have done for us and we wanted to give them something nice as a thank you. So, I took some photo's of Ashleigh and then I made her card to match the photo. Unfortunately, the photo is grainy, but you can still get the idea. You can see the card better here.

So Happy!

Good morning! Another cool morning here in Ontario. I think Mother Nature has forgotten about springtime! I don't know if you can see it, but I added fun flock to the horse for added dimension. I did the horse the same as Ashleigh's horse that she's been riding and I did 'Bella' up as Ashleigh as well, right down to her pink cowgirl boots!

STAMPS: Giddyupabella (Stamping Bella)
PAPER: Unforgettable (CTMH)
STICKEASE: Unforgettable (CTMH) includes inside sentiment
EMBELLISHMENTS: Fun flock (CTMH) on the horse
COLORED WITH: Lyra's and OMS
