A Special Girl

Happy Birthday ...

You know sometimes when you do something and when you're done, you think, "Oh my gosh, I (bold here!!) did that??" Well this is one of those moments for me. I sorted all my cards and I wanted to make some special birthday cards, so out came my copics and I went through one of my magazines and found a pattern to go by .. and I created this ..  

I always struggle with my copics, I just can't seem to get the knack of them. Well, I think it's just ppl I can't do bc this turned out so pretty. I added some chalk around my image to give it a little glittery shine and dug out some punches that have been neglected too long. "Happy Birthday" is stamped on a canvas shape (love these!!). My sentiment is from a new CTMH Stamp set called "Scrapbook Statements - Poets .. Everyday Life"

For my card, I chose "C" for "Celebrate" and used Digi Darla's "Summer Sipper" This is actually the card I made for hubby's birthday in Sept. I added some liquid glass to the wine glass, coloured my image with water colours and using a kleenex, I sponged the background.

"Just Wanted To Say"

Good morning! This past weekend my family had 2 birthdays and this is one of the cards that I made for my Aunt, who turned 65 and looks amazing!! When I did this card up, the colors - everything - just called her name. I added a little 'coupon' inside good for lunch or dinner as well. The image is a Magnolia .. the paper is Bo Bunny (love those sunflowers!!) and the chipboard/stamp is from CTMH!

A little Happy Birthday card front!! I am getting quite a stash of these which makes it super easy when an occasion comes along and I'm in a jam - I can grab one of these and make a quick card! Love it! I used my My Memories Suite to design this.

Hello and guess what! It's Wednesday and time for a new challenge at Flutter By Wednesday!! Thank you all so much for joining us last week!! You're all so creative!! This week we're challenging you to make a birthday card using a butterfly, fairy or an angel. I actually struggled with this one - I know, you're thinking "SERIOUSLY?" It's a birthday card!! I know! I had 3 different ideas in my head and well, in the end, after tossing this and that, I came up with this one. The little chipboard die's are from "Pepper & Friends". Adorable right?

"It's Party Time" & An Award!

Good morning! Well, imagine my surprise when I was checking out fellow Lasting Memories DT blogs, I came across something that's been left for me!!! Check this out!

Is that not the cutest award!! Thank you Brenda!!! I'm honored! Will be back to send this on later today (hopefully!)  Now onto today's card! Here's another card I made with one of my newest cartridges! This one is from "Just Because" cards. I made this for my nephew, Hayden, who had a birthday on Monday!! He's 8 years old already! Time flies us by! We went in on a bike for him and he's getting better and better with it. It's a BMX and he had to get used to it - different brakes etc - but he told me he's loving it!!! Have a great day all!

Good morning friends! Here's another card I made using my blog candy from Ashley!! I'm getting ahead on my birthday card stash .. now I just need to make some masculine ones. They always seem to be the toughest ones, don't they? Hope everyone's having a GREAT day!

It's A Party!

Another card I made using my blog candy winnings from Ashley! I'm working on building up my card stash. I have found lately that every time I go to get a card, I don't have one!! That's not a good thing!! Does anyone else work on building up a card stash? I'm hoping to add cards for all occasions so I'll be on top of things when needed.

Celebrate

I had a chance to sit and make some cards at our last Club night. A while back, I won Ashley's birthday blog candy and this is one of the cards I made using some of my goodies! Thank you, Ashley!!
