Spread Your Wings ..

Morning all!! The winter is upon us here in Ont I think. We haven't got the snow here at home yet, but it's on the ground and causing bad driving where my son is going to University and up north from us as well. So, time to get crafty! This weeks challenge at Digitally Sweet is sponsored by

LUNA GIRL

and it's a photo inspiration challenge! Isn't this pretty?!

So I decided to use the photo inspiration as my background and then had Denise remove my backgrounds (thank you!!!!!!!!!!!) from my fairies because I wanted to place one IN my little jar! So my background, jar and the 2 fairies on/in the jar are all from LunaGirl

Be sure to visit DSC for more inspiration! Thanks for stopping by!

Off to Fairyland!

I was excited when I saw the challenge at LunaGirl's this week and actually had time to get something together tonight to enter! My fairy images are from LunaGirl and so is my background, but once I added the leaves and flowers, it kinda got lost! I really like how this came out though and it's 100% digital. LG accepts any media which is awesome!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Fairy Wishes ...

Here's another birthday card that I made for my son's girlfriend, who turns 16 next Saturday :) I actually dug out my cuttlebug and Nestabilities! I thought it would be a neat touch to have her wings 'open' so cut them out a second time and attached them - the sentiment is from a new CTMH stamp set called "Scrapbook Statements - Poets .. Everyday Life" and I stamped onto CTMH canvas shapes

Sentiment
"Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world"
~Harriet Tubman

I am going to enter this in the following challenges: All brand new for me!!

Aud Sentiments #77 - Sentiment for a Child (I hope this sentiment is ok)

It Is When You Give Of Yourself....FBW#72

Over on Danni's blog, this weeks Flutter By Wednesday Challenge #72 is to use your favorite quote (or a quote) on your creation along with your butterfly or fairy. Thanks to Kim for such a fun challenge. My very good friend, Kelli, let me borrow this stamp. I absolutely love it! You can find it here. I colored with my lyra's, OMS and of course, added a little glitter to her wings. Thank you Kelli for giving me the idea to blend 2 colors to get the color I needed to match my paper!
STAMP: "Bryony" from Susana's Custom Art Designs and "Treasures" from CTMH (sentiment)
PAPER: Stamping Bella
EMBELLISHMENTS: Prisma glitter and ribbon from CTMH

Thank You Fairy Much (green/yellow)

Another 'Eloise' card, this one done the same as the one below, using CTMH 'Sunny Yellow' ink pad. The 'Thank You Fairy Much' sentiment is also from Stamping Bella!

Thank You Fairy Much (pink/green)

This stamp is from Stamping Bella (http://www.stampingbella.com/) and she is called 'eloise greengrass'. I bought the embossed card at Michaels and then used my CTMH 'Hollyhock' inkpad and ran it across the card. I then used a punch from Michaels and made the circles that Eloise is on. I colored her with watercolor pencils and added some glitter and bling!
