LMCB #84 - "Hopping Into Spring"

Hello!! Thank you all for joining us last week at Lasting Memories. It's time for a new challenge and this week we're "Hopping Into Spring" with easter or spring photo's!! I chose to go with Spring photo's. Andrew can't wait to get out on his bike and even in the winter, if it's a warm day and the roads are clean, you'll find him out there. He's always looking up new tricks on YouTube. On this particular day, his buddy Thomas came to hang out and I gave them the camcorder to play with and they had a blast and got some amazing footage. I found the first layout pattern in my CTMH "Reflections" and "Play Hard" is cut from my cricut cartridge 'Geographically Speaking'

LMCB #82 - "April Fools!"

It's April Fool's Day and time for a new challenge at Lasting Memories! In honor of April Fool's Day, we thought it would be fun to show you our ‘sneaky’ tricks!!

  Idea’s: hidden journaling, hidden photo’s, hidden tips and tricks

One of my favorite tricks to do is to use CTMH Flip Flaps so that I can add as many photo's to a LO as I want to. See, the first page just looks like there are 2 photo's, when indeed, there are 3!! I love these things!!! I didn't have page protectors on me at the time, so once these are in an album, you attach the flip flap on the OUTSIDE of your PP so you can open it. This is my son, enjoying his favorite hobby - and he's getting better and better at all these tricks he does!!

LMCB #81 - "We're Layering It Up" this week!!

Thank you so much for joining us last week at Lasting Memories!! It's time for a new challenge and this week, we're "Layering It Up"!! What do you love to layer up on your layouts? Paper, flowers, embellishments??? I absolutely LOVE to layer up my CTMH flip flaps!! As my friends can tell you, I use them whenever and wherever I can. I love that I can add more and more photo's on a pg without cluttering up my page. The bottom photo is done with flip flaps and I was able to add 4 extra photo's this way!!

LMCB #80 - "Pawsitively" Sweet!

Happy Sunday everyone! Time for a new challenge at Lasting Memories. This week we're asking you to show off your pets, zoo or animal pics!! Of course, I chose our boys. I LOVE that paw print one - that's one BIG paw!! When we brought Riley home and had a peek at those paws we knew then he was going to be huge and he is!! He's about 140 and Bud's about 85 or so. For my layout, I used My Memories Suite, so these are completely digital. Speaking of MMS - check out this deal they're offering for March!

LMCB #79 - We're Feeling LUCKY This Week!!

Hi everyone!! It's supposed to be an amazing day today and all this week in the double digits! YAY! So, it's Sunday which means a new challenge at Lasting Memories. Thank you all for playing along last week! Be sure to check today to see if you won my giveaway!! So, this week is a fun one - we want to see the word LUCKY on your layout, BUT you can choose to also use the inspirational photo above and there's also a sketch there too!! It's all up to you how much you want to challenge yourself, but we need to see the word LUCKY on your layout somewhere. I decided to use some of the colors from the photo and I did this layout in My Memories Suite. I haven't added a photo yet because I want to get a fun one of us on St Patrick's Day and then since this is digital, I can add it right in there!!

LMCB #73 - "We're Trashin' Our Layouts" this week!

Hey All!! It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at Lasting Memories!! Bet my post title had you thinking, "What the heck is she talking about?" We're asking you to use your 'trash' on your layouts this week. Scraps of paper, ribbon, old stickers..whatever it is, if it's scraps, it's perfect for this week's challenge! I try to keep my paper scraps with the corresponding paper, so when I finally chose my pics for this LO, I dug out my CTMH "Sasparilla" paper and here's all the scraps I had!!! (note that circle as you'll see it on my layout)

Here's what I came up with! Can you pick out the pieces from my scraps? I also had some tiny bits and pieces of flax around, so I pierced the little stars and sewed them. That black ribbon was actually in my trash bin for some reason, so out it came!! What do ya think??

It's Sunday which means a new challenge at Lasting Memories!! This week we're challenging you to a New Year's layout. I know, sounds complicated, especially for those of us who don't do anything for new years - I fall in that category. We spend a nice quiet night at home. You'll see as you visit each of the DT that we all have a really different idea for this challenge and you'll surely be inspired to join us! If that isn't enough, check this out!! So for this challenge, I had to really put my thinking cap on and this is what I came up with .. I think it works and I am going to work hard to achieve these goals! LMCB #69 - All About The Holidays ...

Good morning!!! It's a new challenge at Lasting Memories today and we're going on a little Christmas vacation for 2 weeks as well, so you have 2 weeks to join us!! We have a DT call going on, a winner for last weeks challenge AND a giveaway this challenge too!! Whew!! There's a LOT going on over there!! This weeks challenge is an inspirational photo (below) and we have a sketch if you'd like as well. 

This photo says Christmas to me. Relaxing, calm - it's just such a sweet photo. I chose to do our last retreat group photo. The place we have our retreats is very calming for me and I absolutely love it there. We have wonderful friends and the photo was taken in front of the tree, so I thought it was prefect!

Lasting Memories Challenge #68 - Snowflakes Are Falling!!

Morning all!! It's Sunday and another new challenge at Lasting Memories! I love this one!! It's all about winter and snowflakes this week. Yesterday we were at Muskoka Wildlife Centre and here's some shots I got of Ashleigh. Aren't these awesome?? Love them!!!! I kept this layout simple bc the photo's really don't need words. Good morning!! We have a new challenge at Lasting Memories this week and another giveaway too!!! We have a color challenge this week and this is what I came up with for mine. I am loving this digital software because it actually said "Happy Birthday" on it and I changed it to "Sisters". Can you imagine doing that with traditional?? Nope!! This is a pic from Saturday night at my sister and her hubby's 30th birthday party. She won't turn 30 till close to Christmas - but they wanted to celebrate together and Dec is just SO busy!!

LMCB #63 - We're Going Sepia and A Little Earthy!

Hello friends!! I'm a little late on this one, but getting back in the swing of things from holidays. This week at Lasting Memories, we have a fun challenge. We're going sepia and earth tones! I had a question earlier about using Earth Tones if you can't get a sepia photo - of course you can. We want to see your layouts and it's amazing how creative we can get when we don't have access to one resource or another. So, this weeks LO is a pic from our recent trip to Florida of my daughter and I. All done in digital using my MyMemories software. LMCB # 62 - Cherish

Hello from the sunny south!! Today we have a new challenge at Lasting Memories - Using the word "Cherish" on your LO and show us someone or someTHING that you cherish the most! I had a minute last night to sit and do a digital LO for this week's challenge and came up with this one. A couple pics from our vacation. Having a great time, although the weather's been a little up and down - wearing sweaters in Florida NOT COOL as my son says! LOL! We had a friend move in at home, so life is good there but I hear it's cold. Yuck. I don't want to head home. Anyway, have a boo at the other LO's by my very talented DT and hope you can join us!! LMCB # 59 - TAG!! You're It!!

Good morning friends! Today is a new challenge at Lasting Memories and we're challenging you to use TAGS on your layouts!! This is a photo from our Spring Scrapbook Retreat. My friend Kelli and I host it and we've been doing a spring/fall one and now we've been asked to add a 3rd wknd in there, so we're doing on in Feb 2012 now as well!! We have an amazing group of women and we fill up super fast. It was just an idea a few years ago and now Kelli and I are planning a couple yrs in advance and we're booking up to November 2012 already!! Incredible and I'm so proud of us!! LMCB # 58 - "Don't Let Anyone Say It's Just A Game,,,"

Hey all! I know, better late than never, right?? I'm pretty late with this week's challenge at Lasting Memories, but here it is!! We have a great challenge this week ... a recipe challenge with a little twist! Here's the recipe ...

• (1) photo
• (2) embellishments of your choice (button/ribbon)
• (3) different colors (red/blue/white)

And the twist?? Song lyrics of your choice!! (thanks Denise for this idea!) For my LO this week, I chose to do our team baseball photo. This was my first year as an Assistant Coach and believe me, it needs to be scrapbooked!! A lot of trial and error among other things, but we did it! I went looking for "baseball" lyrics and found "All The Way" by Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam front man) and I thought it fittng. Now come on out and join us this week and show us your creative LO's!!

Hello there!! This week at Lasting Memories, we're challenging you to use frames and flowers on your layout!! Fun stuff! For my layout today, I chose to use some floral pics from my gardens and then I edited them in my scrapbook software as "embossed" to give them a fun look! I love how this turned out!! LMCB #56 - Sketch and Fall Colors!

Good morning and welcome to another Lasting Memories challenge! This week we're asking you to use this sketch AND fall colors!!

I almost goofed (and keep in mind, these are MY challenges!! LOL!) and forgot to use fall colors! So I actually have this done twice!! I have been doing a lot of digital and find it's such an easy way to get caught up on all those pics that we have sitting on CD's. Here's another LO I did using MyMemories and it's some more pics from a family wedding a few years back!! This is the original one before I realized I had to use fall colors!! Thank God for digital on this LO!! I just went back and changed the colors. So, which do you like better?? I like the one below .. it really shows the colors in Ashleigh's dress more. Love to hear your thoughts!!

My sisters friend Johanna took these pics of my nieces and I just love them. Johanna truly captured them. I didn't do a lot of journaling because the focus is the photo's on this one.
