Our Saltwater Tank

Hey all!! I meant to post this yesterday and forgot. Better late than never though, right? This is another digital LO I did using my new "MyMemories" software! LOVE it! I took these pics of our saltwater tank and thought this would be a fun way to do up a couple of the pics. Hubby's pride and joy. On that note, I am off to work on something else and enjoy my day as I have an unexpected day off and we're on holidays next week, so this would be an official start for me!!! Have a great day!!

Hope everyone's having a great day, enjoying the summer .. not much left!! I had a birthday last Friday and got pretty spoiled!! New clothes, books, a gorgeous frame, an edible arrangement, beautiful handmade cards from my daughter, niece and nephew and hubby/kid's got me a new camera lens! 150-500mm and it's HUGE! I felt pretty darn special! Once I get my pc back I can start updating my photography site as I've been having fun playing with my new lens. Bike riding is getting better and better to. Last night hubby and I went and did some more practicing and then a nice ride along the lake. He thought I was turning to come home and I went right on by so he had a good laugh. He's pretty proud of me and I'm pretty proud of myself!! He said I'm progressing really well and when I take the wknd course, I'll have no trouble at all. Good to know! LOL! Well, on that note, I think I may have another go at this software. Oh, one more thing!! For all you scrapbookers out there, I'm running a DT call at Lasting Memories this mth! This LO is another from our trip to Disney/Seaworld in 2007. I love how they painted Ashleigh's face up and thought this title was "picture perfect"! LMCB # 47 - Distressing!

Morning!! Today's a new challenge at Lasting Memories! It's all about distressing this week! I just realized, these 2 photo's are different colors, but it's the SAME paper! I'm in a rush and pre-posting, so you get the idea, right? Gotta love lighting! So, this week we're distressing our LO's and for mine, I chose to do a LO using pics from my birthday last yr. I still have to journal, but we had a great time!!! The paper is a kit from CTMH "You & Me" which I thought very fitting for this LO. I used distress inks on everything, the paper has a distressed look to it and I distressed the edges of the 12x12 CS. Be sure to hop over and see what everyone else did and come out and play along!! LMCB #46 - Mosaic Layouts!

Hello!! How super cool is this layout!! This weeks challenge at Lasting Memories is mosaic layouts so I dug out my trusty CTMH "Magic" book and found this pattern. It is super cool and allows for more photo's on the little pop out piece! What do ya think? These are underwater photo's that hubby took on one of his snorkeling adventures on our 2007 Florida trip. I have yet to try it so I live it through his photo's. "FORE!" Family Vacation 2003

Hello!! Here's some more of my 'old style' layouts! These are from a family day trip to Santa's Village. Was so much fun and what a great place. Unfortunately, Andrew is too old for there now, but I may take Ash one more time this summer. I personally love it. Who wouldn't love Christmas in the warmth!! The first LO, Ashleigh had never played mini put and she got a hole in one right off the bat!!! Then after that, the kid's enjoyed the splash park.

To all my fellow Canadians!! Hope you have a GREAT day today!! Celebrate and enjoy the day! Today's LO's are from a trip my in-laws took my daughter and nephew on. They went to Lionels Petting Zoo and they LOVED it!! I'm not sure of the yr but I would say 2004 - 2005. Again, back to my 'beginner' scrapbook days!!

This is going back a few years!!! Here is another LO from our trip to African Lion Safari in '03. I don't even know if Ashleigh remembers riding an elephant. Good thing for pics huh!! These are MASSIVE up close!! But what a ride. This is also back in my Creative Memories days, can ya tell?? Just getting into scrapbooking a little more here. I love looking back and seeing how far I've come with my scrapbooking. I would never go back and change everything....would you? I'd like to hear your thoughts on this one!! Have a great day! My First CTMH "Studio J" Layouts!

For the month of June, Close To My Heart is offering ONE free Studio J layout! I hadn't had a chance to try it, so when I had a minute tonight, I had to scrapbook these photo's. We had SO many compliments on Ashleigh's hair as well as what she did, was amazing. Now we have to wait for Canada Post to get back to work so we can mail off her hair!!

African Lion Safari - 2003

Yahoo, it's the wknd!! With the days I've been having, the wknd's honestly can't come fast enough. I've been going back through LO's that I've done in the past but never showed you!! So this one is from one of our summer vacations, back in 2003 - Ash would have been 3 and Andrew 7 - we went to African Lion Safari. As you can see, the kid's were absolutely pooped for the ride home! Stay tuned for more LO's from the past to come!!

Summer Day Trip - 2008

When the kid's were all younger, Keith's parents would take them all (4 of them) for a day trip during the summer. This trip was in 2008 and they spent the day at Wasaga Beach. The 3 boys were trying to dig to China (lol) and Ashleigh enjoyed the beach with grandma and grandpa. Then they did some mini golf. Always a good time. All the materials used on these LO's are Creative Memories.

Rod Stewart Concert

Good morning! I finally had a chance to get some photo's of some of my LO's I did at our retreat! This one is a LO I put together from the Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks concert we went to in April. Was SO good! I would go see him again. He puts on an amazing show. Thank you to my cousin Nancy for the pics!! I used one of my (unfortunately discontinued) CTMH paper packs and stickease. So bummed it's no longer available! The pattern is from my CTMH "Magic" book!!

"Memories are made of love and family vacations"" is the theme of my LO today. This is from our trip to Orlando, Florida in 2007. We stayed at this resort for a few days instead of in Disney. Was a very short drive to Disney, so worked out perfect! This is my mother in law and Ashleigh in the bottom pic checking out the playground equipment.

Hello!! We're at our retreat this wknd and we have a full house. We've been asked to do a February retreat now as well as our June/Nov!! Super excited! We've had a waiting list this time as well. As some of you know, I've been missing scrapping so bad. I've just been super busy and now coaching my son's ball team, so there's 2 nights/wk gone as well!! So far I've managed to do 6 layouts!! 2 are for upcoming Lasting Memories challenges (yay!!) and here's one I just completed. Here's a question for anyone who can help me!! What in the world is that duck called on the bottom left corner?? Anyone?? Picture may not be the best as I can't edit it, no software on my little laptop! I found this sketch in my CTMH "Cherish" book.

I decided to do a LO using the flowers the kid's got me for Mother's Day. They're so pretty!! I added some floral embellies as well. Good morning!! I had a few minutes to sit and come up with something to play along with one of my favorite challenges, FBW!!  This week they are challenging us to Anything But A Card! These days, that is right up my ally. So, I came up with this LO. I haven't added journaling yet as I have to confirm the date. Ashleigh looks about 4, Andrew maybe 8? If not 3 and 7. I adore this pic! The kit is a freebie from Daisy Trial and I found my butterfly here!
