Thankful for You

While on our retreat, I completed 3 card kits! Very proud of myself. Not very productive on the LO's this time around, but won't be needing cards for awhile! Here's 2 of the cards I did from the "Pathfinders" CTMH card workshop kit

Thank You

Today my daughter graduates Gr 8, Thursday my son graduates high school and will be off to Trent University in the fall. It has been a very emotional time for this mama!! I wanted to do something for the staff at Deer Park (public school) but wasn't sure what as there's 25 staff members. So, I came up with the idea to bake cookies and do up a little thank you gift. Each has 2 butterscotch cookies, but since 3 have peanut butter chips, I marked those with the circle. I think they turned out pretty cute!

Cricut Craftin Friends Blog Hop  Celebrating Cricut Craftin Grammys 1 year Blogaversary

We're so happy you could join us for this hop celebrating the one year blogaversary of Cricut Craftin Grammy. I have asked a few of my Cricut Messageboard friends as well as my Design Team friends (Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog, Lasting Memories and Sweet Sassy Diva ) to join her in this two day Blog Hop. The participants are allowed to share anything creative they wish to share using a Cricut (or other die cut machine if they do not have a Cricut.) I hope you will hop along with us and leave comments along the way. For the overall blog candy you need to leave a comment on each blog each day. If you leave a comment on all the blogs both days your name will be entered into the Random drawing twice. The random winner will receive a $25 gift card from their choice of Michaels or Joanns. This is a TWO-DAY hop, so be sure to check out both days so you don't miss any creativeness. Because there is a large number of participants I will give you until January 30th to post your comments for the two days of the blog hop.  Thanks for joining us! Let's get hopping!! If you've hopped over from Elizabeth's blog, then you are in the right place!! If you've just popped in to visit my blog or are reading this via email and you'd like to join our FUN, then please CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Suzanne's Blog.

For the hop today, I've created a little treat bag which says "Thanks" on the front. I used my CTMH "Art Philosophy" cartridge to cut out the bag as well as the large butterfly and then my "Cindy Loo" for the sentiment. The little flower and butterfly are Martha Stewart punches. I placed "Thanks" on a CTMH chipboard die cut that I sponged in "petal" ink to make it pop a little better. Hope you like it!!

Thank you again for checking out my project... Now hop to the next stop: Denise!
Remember to visit all the stops for MAXIMUM ideas and LOTS OF FUN!! And be sure to come back tmw for my next project!!!

Here's the list, in order, of all the participants!!

I did it AGAIN!

Oh man .. I did it AGAIN!! If you haven't had a chance, check out my text blunder HERE. So last night, I send Andrew (my son) a text saying "Dinner" .. I get a text from my BROTHER "Q'ues ce cest??" (no he's not french, just likes to think he's either that or spanish LOL!!) I'm thinking, WHAT??? Oh man .. I text HIM (who's an hour away) that dinner was ready!! I give up!!! "They're coming to take me away ha ha!!"

THEN, I take out the turkey, come to put in fridge and go FLYING through my kitchen .. I (yes ME) left the stinkin' mop out and I tripped over the handle. Keith came flying in from the garage, Ashleigh down the stairs - guess it was a very loud fall. Here I was in a crumpled heap on the kitchen floor, TOTALLY embarrassed because I left the stinkin' mop there in the first place!! So, I have a sore knee, thumb .. what a night!!

On that note, here's a little Thank You card I did for my daycare parents for my Christmas gifts (I was spoiled!!) And I did it with my Memories Suite! Cool huh?? K, I better get baking .. ton's to do!! Have a GREAT day friends! Oh and for another laugh, chk this out!!

Thank You...

Pls scroll down for todays Project Tuesday post!

Hi there! I have a card order to do and thought I would share. Dana just celebrated her son's 1st birthday, Thomas the Train theme. So she asked me to come up with something simple using a train. I looked up Thomas and followed the color scheme and added liquid applique for the puffy smoke. The card, train and thank you are all from my New Arrival cartridge. I sent this sample to Dana and here's what she had to say;

"The card looks GREAT!!! I'm SO looking forward to getting them in the mail, hopefully it will be sooner rather than later. I'm excited to see them in person :)"

I love when I get a response like that!! So, I'm off to finish up the thank you's and get them in the mail. Have a great night!

In Appreciation and Thank You

I've been asked to provide some samples for a company in Barrie and they're looking for something simple yet business like and something to signify Barrie's waterfront, so I went with sailboats and water colors, to send out in appreciation of referrals. I've had a bummed shoulder for over 3 weeks now, so haven't been crafting as much as I'd like, just trying to make sure I have my DT stuff done and some I had done over the holidays, thank goodness, so I was ahead. I finally went to the Dr and turns out I had some sort of a pinched nerve or something in my neck which was causing all the pain. I've been on anti-inflammatories for a week and it's finally calming down and I can drive safely (could barely turn my head) and start crafting again without the pain!! So, this is what I've come up with so far and inside one I added photo corners to hold a gift card. I'll let you know how it goes!

Wedding Thank You Cards

As some of you know, my Aunt recently got married and we had fun making her invitations from a kit and then I was asked to make some place card markers for the kid's plates and I also made their Wedding Guest Book. So, when my Aunt recently talked to me about Thank You's, I looked into having them made and then asked if I could see what I could come up with on my own. My daughter and I went to Michaels last night and matched everything up to the invitations and this is what I came up with today. I really like them. They're simple yet classy. The flower is from the reception as well. We had them on the tables in place of confetti, so it was fun to bring those into the thank you cards. I have to say, I really loved putting all this together! My sister, cousin Nancy and I just finished an online wedding album for them as well and it's beautiful. Can't wait till we get it back so we can all get together and give it to them.

I just talked to my hubby he informed me that friends of ours, one of which is his co-worker, all have H1N1. They've been tested and diagnosed with it. His wife and 3 kids have it, so he's likely next, poor guys! Unfortunately, it's likely going to go through work now as well. I have had a sore throat the last couple days, but more irritating than anything. Today as the day progressed, it's gotten worse. Thank goodness we already have a dr's appt for a follow up for Ashleigh. Fingers crossed that I'm not getting sick :(

EDIT: WELL, GOOD NEWS IS THAT MY THROAT IS IRRITATED, BUT NO NEED FOR MEDS JUST YET, WAIT AND SEE! GREAT NEWS IS THAT OUR GIRL IS 100% BETTER! YAY! THAT FLU KICKS THE ENERGY RIGHT OUT OF YOU!

One last thing, I want to send a big birthday shout out to my friend Christine today!

Also, one more thing..today on Danni's Dreams, some very sad news was posted and I just want everyone to go and give their little one's a hug tonight. If you do pop over to Danni's blog, there's a special tree that's waiting to be planted and all the details can be found here.

Thank You

Tonight, I had one more teacher's card to make. I don't really have alot of masculine stamps and when I was at Michaels last week, I had this stamp in and out of my hands several times. Finally, I thought I had better just buy it. Usually if you spend that much time debating on something, you'll kick yourself for not getting it. Well, I would have kicked myself. I've used it for my Father's Day cards and now for Ashleigh's teacher, Mr. Simon. I thought the sentiment was kind of nice for a teacher, seeing as they lead our children on a journey each day. Since Mr Simon loves Tim's, we gave him a couple gift cards.

STAMP: Tim Holtz Collection
PAPER: Jack and Jill Collection

Tip: Using your ink, in this case I used cocoa, go around the edges of your CS to give it a distressed look.

Thank You Gift

I showcased this card last week and I couldn't say what it was really for till I had given it to my mother and father in law. Ashleigh decided she wanted to try riding lessons this yr and they were a huge help in finding a place for her to go as well as helping out with lessons. I didn't realize how expensive riding actually is. We are so thankful to them for everything they have done for us and we wanted to give them something nice as a thank you. So, I took some photo's of Ashleigh and then I made her card to match the photo. Unfortunately, the photo is grainy, but you can still get the idea. You can see the card better here.

Dedication and a Thank You Card

I haven't posted alot this week as it's been a tough week at our house. We had to put our family dog down as we found out on Wed that she had bone cancer. This post is dedicated to our Roxie but it's also a thank you to our wonderful neighbors. We got up Saturday morning and found a single rose and a beautiful card on our front step. So last night, I made this card for them. It's nice to know we have such wonderful neighbors.

Thank You Fairy Much (green/yellow)

Another 'Eloise' card, this one done the same as the one below, using CTMH 'Sunny Yellow' ink pad. The 'Thank You Fairy Much' sentiment is also from Stamping Bella!

Thank You Fairy Much (pink/green)

This stamp is from Stamping Bella (http://www.stampingbella.com/) and she is called 'eloise greengrass'. I bought the embossed card at Michaels and then used my CTMH 'Hollyhock' inkpad and ran it across the card. I then used a punch from Michaels and made the circles that Eloise is on. I colored her with watercolor pencils and added some glitter and bling!

'Thank You' Card

Sorry I've been MIA for a bit, hit a bit of a creative block, but I think I'm back in the game!! For this card, I bought the "Dreams Come True" Expressions cartridge and used my CTMH Gracious Greetings (D1265) stamp set. Belle actually cuts in pc's and then you have to put her all together. I love the outcome though. So pretty!
