Child's Play - Gingerbread Challenge

It's a new challenge at Child's Play! Our challenge this week is to create a LO based on the Gingerbread House! I chose to do a page from last yr's Gingerbread House kit that Ashleigh helped her cousins create!

Child's Play Challenge With "Lincoln Logs" For Inspiration!

Good morning friends!!! Guess what!!! Today's the first day for Child's Play Challenge!! We're kicking it off with inspiration from "Lincoln Logs" .. 

For my layout today, I chose to use the colors as well as a nutcracker in honor of the wood in Lincoln Logs!! I love how this turned out. Using My Memories Suite, I chose some photo's from our 2011 Christmas Tree. We now have 2 trees each yr - the 'family' tree and the 'theme' tree. This was our second yr doing this and Ashleigh helped me do our themed tree this yr as well. This yr we'll be changing it up!!

Flutter By Wednesday # 189 - L O V E Spells Love

Good morning!! Thank you all for joining us last week! So much talent and inspiration out there!!! This weeks challenge at FBW is a fun one!!

L= 2 or more layers (I layered the paper borders as well as the photo's)
O= odd number of embellishments (I have 7 embellishments)
V= use the color violet (2 of the Christmas balls have violet in them)
E= use any color except red (TRY doing this when you're doing a Christmas layout!!! I did it!)

How fun right?? Just don't forget your butterfly, fairy or angel!!! Here's what I created!! I used 2 angels on my layout. This is our real "Family Tree" that Ashleigh decorated. It's full of all our special decorations both given to us, made for us and passed down. A lot of memories on this tree. We now have 2 trees each yr - one real and one fake and we love it!!!

Holiday Simplicity

It's Christmas Eve!!! So much to do, but you didn't think I'd miss a day, did ya?? I have to keep up with my friend Stef, who won't miss a day either!! Ok, I MIGHT miss tmw!! So, guess what!! It's time for a new challenge at Paper Lovin' Gals this week!! We were given a photo and I loved it so much, I incorporated it right into my layout! I thought this would be a great "opening" layout for this years Christmas photo's.

Family Memories

Hello!! Over at 2 Sister Challenge Blog, there's a "Kid's Christmas" challenge and there's also a new (very yummy looking) challenge at Paper Lovin' Gals this week!! Check out this "yummy" photo!!!

Using my MyMemories Suite, I came up with this digital layout. I just love these photo's and thought it was perfect for the inspirational photo and the title of the PLG's challenge "Christmas Treats YUM!" Ashleigh with her cousins and their gingerbread house. Looks pretty yummy huh??? Have a great day all!!!
