LM #158 - Family Vacation

Thanks for coming by! Today's challenge at Lasting Memories is "Family Vacation" and I have been itching to share these Florida sunset pics with you! We try and go to Florida every year, but I think we'll have to skip this yr as we'll have both kid's in their graduating yr (gr 8 and 12) and then it's off to college or university for Andrew, so we're saving up! These photos are from 2010 and you should have seen this sunset - the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen. We were at Clearwater Beach and it was just incredible. What you see here is what we seen in the sky. Amazing. That's what you call nature's art!

LM #155 - Fishy Tales

It's all about tall tales and fish tales at Lasting Memories this week!! We all have one of those don't we! I chose to do another 2 page lo from our trip to Florida in 2010. Yes, still catching up. I still need to do 2011/12! Every yr that we go, we always spend lots of time fishing off the Clearwater Pier. The kids (and hubby!) love it and always catch lots. I used CTMH Surf's Up paper and chipboard on this one.

LM #153 - How You've Grown

Hello, hello! Thank you all so much for joining us last week for our Scavenger Hunt hop! So much fun and so much talent!! I love these photos of my kiddos.

LM#142 - Opposites Attract

Happy Sunday! It's a new challenge at Lasting Memories! This week we're all about "Opposites Attract"! We have some really great DT inspiration with all kinds of different takes on this challenge. Be sure to check it out!! As always, tmw's our Monday Mojo where we'll showcase all the DT entries for you to see. So, my take on this challenge?? My hubby and I as well as his dad and step mom. We're all about "Opposites Attract". 

He's VERY laid back where I tend to need reeled in once in awhile! LOL! His dad is the same. Extremely laid back. Ann and I tend to worry about things while father and son take everything in stride. I think without them - we'd be in trouble. I know I would. Keith keeps me grounded and thank goodness for that!

Sunsets At Clearwater Beach

Well, it's official! Spring has left the building here!! It was SNOWING! Oh, where oh where is spring?? 

I was checking out PLG this morning and they're inspiration photo (above) reminded me so much of our sunsets in Florida that I was inspired to create this 2 pg layout in MMS. I didn't add a lot of detail because I want the main focus to be those gorgeous photo's. The second page - can you even believe the colors in that sunset and the way the clouds are?? Oh, I wish we were there right now!!!

Couple Photo's From GatorLand

On our vacation, we went to Gator Land and it happened to be Ashleigh's birthday that day as well. What a cool place and those gators aren't friendly either! LOL! They are as natural as can be. At one pt, Andrew and Ashleigh were standing along the edge of a lookout over the breeding ground and this huge gator, who had been facing/swimming the opposite way, VERY slowly turned and swam towards them. He thought he was being conspicuous, but we seen him coming. You can see it on the video too and see Ash back up a pace or 2! Anyway, here's a couple pics we had taken there and yes, the gators and snake are real!

And just to clarify, since my hubby so kindly informed me...I'm wearing a SKORT, lol, NOT blue underwear!! I was more concerned about that gator peeing or worse on me than crossing my legs! LOL!
