Project Tuesday - View Master Card!

Good morning!! Well, summer is really winding itself down here. Andrew and I went to the high school all day yesterday and his first 'official' day is today. Ashleigh has one more week and then starts grade 5. We're getting some amazing weather though right now!! Hot and humid...a nice ending to August and beginning to Sept. So, today at Project Tuesday, we were challenged to make a View Master Card What a fun project! It took me a little time as I didn't have the same tools as Dawn uses in her video, but I managed and it turned out great! I used my CM cutting system and a Martha Stewart scallop circle punch. The paper is "Bella" by CTMH. As the wheel turns, it says "Thinking Of You", "Sending You Birthday Wishes" and "Sending You My Love". Now it's your turn to try! LMCB # 5 - "A Sentimental Journey" using Computer Generated Text!

Good morning! Today over at Lasting Memories, we're challenging you to "A Sentimental Journey" using computer generated text on your layout. My sentimental journey is going back to 2003 with my daughter, who's now almost 10. We used to go to a playgroup every Wednesday, just her and I and of course the odd time, daycare kids. But it was something that Ashleigh looked forward to each and every week. This was a trip that my friend Carrie put together for the kid's and they had a ball. I chose to do some computer generated journalling on mine. I have SO much catching up to do! I did the journalling from Ashleigh's point of view. Meet Robby!

Hello!! We're on holidays this week and I have not been in my craft room at all!! I've been enjoying the weather and just enjoying family time. Andrew starts high school on Monday and then Ashleigh has one more week and goes into grade 5 on Sept 7. Today we took the kids to Bowmanville Zoo. This was our first time there. It's about an hour and a half drive, so we were hoping it was good! We would go again for sure. Here's some pics I wanted to share. This is "Robby" and he's 11 yrs old. The first pic is from a cat walk through the exhibit. It's really cool! Then Ashleigh and I went on the tram ride which takes you right into the tiger and wolf exhibit!! It was AMAZING to be this close to a tiger!! I'll share some more pics tmw!!

Good morning!! I had to share this and send a BIG thanks to Melly for thinking of me! This is so 'sweet'! Be sure to check out her blog as you'll be amazed at her creativity! I know I am!

• Ashleigh - I have to give one to my darling daughter, who is not quite 10 but can create so many cool things and comes up with her own ideas and when she does, she comes running to show me. I'm very blessed to have her WANT to spend time creating with me, since it's something I love to do.
• Lasting Memories DT!! I know, only supposed to send this to 5 people, but I want to send this out to my Lasting Memories DT (you can find them all in the sidebar there) They have been amazing, inspiring, creative and I am proud to call these girls my friends!

Remember my tree frog release photo's? Well, I sent them to our local Metro Toronto Zoo and I had a reply this morning!!

A Little Puppy Love!

I wanted to get my entry in for this week's FBW challenge which is open as well as Glitterbabe's challenge, which is a sketch. So this is what I put together this morning! Isn't that a darling image? It's a new line down at Pointer's called "Pepper and Friends" and I fell in love with it!! I couldn't wait to get him colored up. Hope everyone is enjoying their day, it's time for my to get mine started.

Project Tuesday - Flap Card!

Good morning!! It's Tuesday, which means it's time for PROJECT TUESDAY!! I've missed the last couple weeks with holidays and just being plain old busy, so was excited to play along this week! This week we're being challenged to make a FLAP CARD.For my card today, I used CTMH "Bella" paper and to close the flap, I punched 2 holes and ran the ribbon through. The sentiment is SU! It's All In The Discovery....(photo shoot)

Do you remember when you were little, everything was something to be explored and discovered? I miss those times! Yesterday evening, Ashleigh and I went for a walk in the back forest area and we came upon some milkweed plants. She started looking for something under the leaves and when I asked what she was looking for, she said "Monarch eggs mom!" Then she proceeded to pull the pods apart to see what they looked like inside. Was a fun discovery!
