Project Tuesday - One Sheet Box "A Gift For You"

Good morning and thanks for stopping by! This week on Project Tuesday, we're asking you to make a "one sheet box". I LOVE these projects as they are fun and very easy to make. I bought these little embellishments from Stampin' Up (has the hearts in it) I can't remember what they're called, but I thought it would be fun to add a little fun on the front of the box. We have ALOT of birthday's this mth and one lucky person will get this little gift bag, but who will it be??? Meet Matthew the Super Star!

Good morning friends!! Meet me new 'friend' Matthew!! I treated myself to a couple stamps for Christmas and this is his first time being inked up. Isn't he handsome? Kinda reminds me of my son when he was little and also of my 6 yr old nephew. He was a 'must have' and I bought him from SCACD. For this card, I went through my CTMH "Wishes" book and found the fun layout called "Pieced Together" and of course I tweaked it a little to suit my card. I used CTMH "Stardust" paper pack and stickease. Enjoy!

Every Friend Is Like A Snowflake...

Hello! Here's another of my new stamps from SCACD. I just love this little guy! He looks so cute peeking around the snowman. It's hard to see here, but I added fun flock to his little santa hat and he's done in fun flock as well. I also added crystal glitter around the snow and on the snowman. This paper is from CTMH and is one of my fav's for winter projects. It's called "Aspen". The inside verse is another stamp I just got from SCACD and the paper/stickers are from CTMH "Aspen" as well. I'm entering this in this week's Fresh Batch Sketch challenge!

Meet Milla!

Good morning! First off, I need to send a HUGE shout out to my cousin Hannah!! She turns 13 today!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HANNAH! May all your dreams and wishes come true and may your day be filled with love, laughs, family and friends.

Now for today's post...Meet Milla. She's my first stamp from SCACD! Isn't she just too cute? I had fun coloring her up and then added some shimmer paint for a little dazzle. I have a few birthday cards to make this month, so this one is for one of my 2 nieces who celebrate their birthday's later this month.

I'm entering this card in Cute Card Thursday where this week's challenge is NEW! I'm using a NEW stamp and NEW paper!

Just Buggin' Challenge #18 - A Hydrangea Bouquet

What do ya know, another post for today! While blog hopping this morning, I came across Just Buggin' which is a challenge blog to use your cricut. This week's challenge is to use "Shadow" or "Blackout". I couldn't pass this one up and since the deadline is tonight at midnight, I had to get a move on! I decided to do up a floral bouquet for my grandmother. For the last few month's, I've been trying my best to mail her one of my cards every couple of weeks as she's in a nursing home and she's come to really look fwd to them. She just turned 91 in Dec and is doing very well. She still gets around but it's just hard for her to be on her own now. She has vertigo, so she loses her balance alot and she also has angina. So, I decided to enter the challenge with a card for Grandma. I think she'll love it as it has a nice spring feel to it and she loves her flowers.

For my card I used one of my favourite cartridges "A Walk In My Garden"

• SHADOW - hydrangea at 4", 3", 2" (black CS)
• BLACKOUT - hydrangea at 4", 3", 2" (green CS)
• SHIFT - hydrangea at 4", 3", 2" (pink, purple and blue CS)

I sprayed my bouquet with shimmer paint (mixed with alcohol) and then I tied my bouquet together with ribbon! If you'd like to enter this week's challenge, hop on over to Just Buggin' before midnight with your creation!

Our theme this week Flutter By Wednesday #91 is "new". We are to use anything on our project that is new or symbolizes something NEW to us as well as include a butterfly, fairy or angel. Since I didn't get any new crafting stuff for Christmas, I used my Tinkerbell and Friends cricut cartridge and used a 'new' image (for me as I haven't used her yet) and some new paper that I have yet to use as well. I found this sketch idea on Danni's blog that Cindy Haffner created (thanks for the inspiration, Cindy!) I cut my image out at 4" and then added all her layers at the same size. One thing I find VERY hard is the eyes/mouth, so I used stickles on her and then sprayed her with shimmer paint. I cut an extra set of wings so I could pop them up as well. I embossed my circle with CB's "Happy Birthday" folder and then for a finishing touch, I added some pop up flowers from a Martah Stewart punch and added a popped up butterfly that I cut out. I thought with all this snow and cold weather we've had lately, a spring card was called for! Plus, this is also a birthday card for a special girl who will be celebrating her 13th birthday on Thursday!

Project Tuesday - 3x3 Notecard Box

Good morning! Welcome to our very first Project Tuesday for 2010!! This month it's my turn to choose the projects and I chose a 3x3 Notecard Box for this week's project. You'll find the instructions here as well as a video tutorial. All my images are from The Angel Company. Aren't they adorable??? I believe they were a monthly promo for October. I just fell in love with them and had to have them. I didn't put any sentiments inside my little cards so this way they can be used for anything. The paper is from a retired CTMH paper pack.
