Ashleigh's Riding Assessment, Layout

This is a layout I put together using CTMH "Cherish" which is a scrapbooker's DREAM layout book!! It's full of layout idea's and you can take the pattern and then make it your own! What I've done here is did the layout design from the book, taken a photo of that and then I've completed my layout and retaken photo's, so you can see what you can do!! It's easy!!

Happy 13th Birthday, Andrew!

Good morning!

Today we're celebrating our son's 13th birthday. I cannot believe that 13 years ago today, I was on the phone with my aunt Linda, having mild contractions, while my family was up having lunch on our deck. I thought "No, this has to be BH contractions because Baby's not due for 2 weeks!" So, I never said a word. Then I realized, "uh oh, they're getting closer together and really starting to hurt...holy cow, I think I'm in labor!" So I told Keith and he said "How far are the contractions?" Please keep in mind, this is our first, we're about half hour from the hospital and we're enjoying a nice family lunch. I answer "Umm, we're about 3 min's apart now..." Well, I tell ya..everything started going a little crazy here at the Wilson's!! LOL! I'm being whisked to the car, I'm bawling, dad's asking why I'm crying, I'm saying "I'm going to be a mom today, that's why!" Keith's saying "GET IN THE VAN OR WE'RE NOT GOING TO MAKE IT!" LOL!!! My mom and sister (15 yrs old at the time) hopped in the back and away we went (FLEW) to the hospital. I don't remember much about the ride except "Breath Karen, we're almost there, are you ok? Remember to time those contractions!" My labour and delivery was a piece of cake and we had a bouncing 7lb, 12 oz baby boy!! Apparently time has flown by because that all seems like yesterday and today he turns into a teenager. A teenager that we are very, very proud to call our son.

The card design is from the new CTMH "Wishes" Card Book. An absolute MUST HAVE for all cardmakers!! I added my own little embellishments and idea's as well. Paper pack is CTMH "It's A Guy Thing"

Walk In My Garden With Me...

Today I was out weeding my garden's and I decided to grab my big camera and play a little. See what kind of shots I could get. I've never been a big gardener, but when we bought this house in March of '94, we had no idea just how many flowers/gardens were under the snow! Over the years I've grown to enjoy it and the last couple years, I've started to love it even more. We have the bees, hummingbirds, butterflies...it's just very peaceful. So, come, walk with me in my garden.

The first 2 are of our 6 mth old (yes, just 6 mths and 93 lbs) pup, Riley, who LOVES my gardens, the third is a robin's nest with 2 babies, the 4th if you look closely, you can actually see the water drops on the leaves and the bee pollinating the bells and the rest are some of the flowers in my gardens. I hope you like them.

This is in our local paper this week!!! This was taken at our crop. My friend and partner for our Scrapbook Club, Kelli, is in the green and white shirt, Dave Metherall from Re/Max is in the middle and I'm on the right in brown!

This is my entry for this week's Stamping Bella challenge. This week was another sketch and I find them so inspiring!! We have a bridal shower coming up in June, so I was inspired by Nicky's sketch to complete Angie's card. I think she'll love it! I do!

Another SeaWorld Layout

The 2 pics of our kids in this layout are my favorites. I love how I captured the dolphins and manatee's behind them. Ashleigh LOVES dolphins and Andrew LOVES manatee's, so I was on a mission!! I hope you like it!
