A Ghost Walk and Some History

Hi everyone! I've been away from blogging for a long time. I haven't been scrapbooking but I have been taking some photo's so I want to share some with you! Hope all my friends and followers are doing well! Life here has been hectic - son just went back to school, 3rd yr University and daughter just started Gr 11. Time sure flies. So, enough about me! I want to share these photo's with you! A couple months ago, my mom and I went to St. George's Anglican Church for some history and a "Ghost walk" which was really neat! Mom and I compared photo's and we have some of the same, but yet not! Spooooky!

After the Ice Storm

I took these photo's this morning - we still had so much ice and as the day warmed up, it all started to melt and was very noisy! A lot of banging, crunching .. loud! Hard to see, but the ground looked like it was covered in diamonds this morning

It's supposed to be spring here but we had one heck of an ice storm this past few days! The kid's had a "snow" day Thursday, so a nice 5 day weekend after being off for March Break. Can I be a kid again?? The freezing rain left many without power for hours, a lot of downed trees, branches .. a huge mess. But it's beautiful at the same time. I ventured out and took some photo's ..

LM #267 - Someone Special

Our theme this month at Lasting Memories is "Thankful" and this weeks challenge was to create a layout about someone who is or was special in your life. This past Wednesday was Rememberance Day and I was sent some photo's of my grandparents who met in WW2 so I did a digital layout. Been awhile and I couldn't remember how to access it after I saved it! 

My grandparents are both gone now, but she was a nurse and he was a soldier in WW2 and from there they went on and married, had 6 children. It's neat to see these photo's but also to have that piece of history in my family.

All About the Clusters

This week it's all about the clusters at Lasting Memories and it's our last challenge for July! Where is the time going!? This is a page I did for a friends wedding album I made - I am reposting this as I absolutely love this page and just getting back into scrapping .. but wanted a little inspiration to get me in the groove!!

Together

Remember me?? A lot of changes have been happening in my life and unfortunately, blogging really fell on the back burner. I could hardly keep up with life period! But I've made some changes for the better and things are settling so hoping to get back to crafting. I miss it!

At Lasting Memories, this month's theme was "Together" and one of our challenges was to create a layout based on the theme and I thought this was perfect - my grandma and one of her sons. (this is a repost) This was actually a Halloween kit, but I'm not big on Halloween and neither are my kids so I had to get creative and came up with a more heritage look! Love the way it turned out!

We have one more week of challenges till we kick off August with a bunch of new challenges and theme! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer and thanks for stopping by!

LM #242 - Strength

Hey all! I know, long time no see right?? This working thing really cuts into my style! I'm so behind this month at Lasting Memories but I am spending this week catching up! Our theme for May is "Life's Affirmations" and each week we have had a theme which I'll show you throughout this week! But this week, our theme is "Strength" and I chose to showcase a 2 page layout from when my daughter was 6 - she had never played ball and she was pretty scared about the whole thing but she conquered her fear and ended up playing all positions and had a blast!
