Here's a couple more pages I put together for my St Jacobs album - I'm really having fun making this one and this kit is fabulous! You can purchase it HERE! If you haven't seen my other pages to this album, start HERE! One of the things that I found fascinating was the Mennonite horse and buggies. They all had their reflective triangle, which I was happy to see. On Sunday morning, we heard hundreds going by heading to church. We didn't hear them travel back home till well after dark. Just so calming hearing the clip clop of the horses. The second LO here showcases a couple more 'road trip' pics!!

I decided to do another page for my Grandma's album and went with the second line down

My aunt and I took a road trip to St Jacobs, which is Amish/Mennonite Country and we had an amazing time and stayed at a little B&B called "By The River". Here's a layout showcasing the photo's I took right from our little back deck. The scenery was incredible and you could hear the river rapids and wildlife.
Here's some more digital layouts from our trip to St Jacobs. Check out my first 2 right here that start the trip! This was truly home away from home and our Host, Heather, was a wonderful person as was her husband and son that we met. The cabin is actually attached to the main house but you wouldn't know it. You hear nothing whatsoever and even in the back yard you were private and didn't see them. We absolutely loved that deck. Be sure to come by tmw as I have some gorgeous views to show you! Cya then!
Hey all! Wow, another hot one coming in today and over the wknd!! What an amazing summer, although better for some than others. So, August brings a new Designer Highlight atRAKscraps and being on the Creative Team, we get to work with the kit! I've started my St Jacobs trip album and here's a couple pages with more to come!! This was my first trip to St Jacobs and we stayed at "By The River" B&B which was fantastic and we're looking to go again in Sept!! The photo's on the site not watermarked with "BBCanada..." are actually mine!
Hey all! We're halfway through the week which means time for a new challenge at Child's Play and it's a toy challenge - "Beach Ball"!
I decided to get started on my pages from when the kid's helped at Grandpa's pond. He made the decision to fill one of his 3 ponds as it's just gotten too hard for him to look after. He's just turned 70 and I was amazed at what you have to do for the upkeep-not to mention the willow tree that kept spawning EVERYWHERE as well! So the kid's wanted to help catch and relocate what they could. I had Charlie with me (daycare) and Andrew had a friend as well. They worked super hard all day. I ended up leaving with Ash and Charlie bc it was just too hot. Over 40*C with the humidity but the boys kept going. They caught frogs, turtles, cat fish, baby trout .. and they relocated every thing they caught. They carried buckets from one pond to another (not a small walk!) and just kept moving all day long. We were so proud of them, but most important, they were proud of themselves. Here's the first (digital) layout of Ashleigh releasing a bucket full of frogs - I chose to use some of the colors from the beach ball.

Hi everyone!! Being on holidays, I haven't had a chance to play!! I've really been enjoying family time and hubby and I even got to get out this week for some alone time and lunch together. Was very nice!! Anyway, today's a new challenge at Lasting Memories! We're "Mining For Silver" this week and want to see silver somewhere on your layout.
