Flutterby Wednesday #90!
Good morning and welcome to another Flutterby Wednesday! Today on Danni's Dreams, it's another 'open' week for Flutterby Wednesday! Remember to make sure you have a butterfly, fairy or an angel on your project though. Unfortunately, I don't have a creation for you today as I'm feeling under the weather and just not up to crafting. Make sure to hop over to Danni's blog and see what the rest of the DT came up with! You'll find them all in Danni's sidebar as well as in Mister Linky. You'll find TONS of inspiration and be sure to link your creation in Mister Linky while you're there. Once I'm feeling up to it, I'll add my card as well.

I hope all the little one's had BIG smiles on Christmas morning and everyone enjoys the rest of your holidays.

Recipe Alert! Toblerone Fudge!
Hello!! Well, I tried making fudge for the first time and it worked!! YAY! Ashleigh's favourite chocolate bar is Toblerone, so I went searching for a good fudge recipe and found one here. It's very easy to do. It says to bring to a boil on medium heat, I had it on 3, so quite low, and it took awhile, but it worked. If you boil it to fast, it won't set. I also cut mine in small squares as it's quite rich, but it's so creamy and yummy!! If you get a chance to try it yourself, it's worth it!
Flutter By Wednesday # 89 - Honey Bee's and Butterflies!
Good morning everyone! Can you believe it's only 2 days till Christmas??? Wowzers, where did the time go? I still have wrapping to do!! Welcome to another FBW challenge!! Today's challenge is open, but don't forget, you have to have a butterfly, fairy or an angel on your creation! Be sure to hop over to Danni's Dream's to be inspired by the rest of the DT, who's name's you will find in her sidebar as well as Mister Linky. While you're there, why not add your own creation in Mister Linky so we can all come and visit you!
For today's card, I did cheat a little as I've been very short on time, but I thought this would be fun. I found these cards and thought they were just adorable! They're pop up cards! But, of course, being card makers that we are, I thought it just needed 'a little something'. So, out came the stickles and liquid glass to dazzle it up!! See?? We can alter anything we like, just add that little 'something' and voila!! You've made it your own. You can likely see it better if you click the photo to enlarge it.
Have a wonderful day my friends!!

Season's Greetings!
Isn't this stamp cute? It's by Sunshine Designs. I found this little treat bag idea at Heartprints and thought it would be fun to make. I used the snowflakes embossing folder and embossed my paper BEFORE making the bag. I used water color pencil crayons and blending pen for the globe, added some prisma glitter over an adhesive sheet to give it the 'shaken' look, added some ribbon and a punched snowflake.
I'm entering this in 2 challenges:

The Last Of My Christmas Card Designs!
Good morning! Happy Saturday! Wow, a week today and Christmas will be another memory for 2009. I can't believe how long it takes to get here, then all of a sudden, it's over. Wow. I'm hoping my guys sleep in a little this yr!! Until 2 years ago, Keith and I would be up waiting for their little eyes to open and we would end up waking them because we couldn't wait! Then the last 2 yrs, OMG! They've been up at 4AM!!!!!!!!! Yikes! So, here's wishing this yr brings at least 6am! LOL! So, this is the last of my "Tis The Season To Be Jolly" card designs. I hope you've enjoyed them and maybe even found a little inspiration in there! Have a wonderful day, stay warm (or cool, depending on where you are) and if you're heading out shopping, take some advil! LOL!

A Great Photo Editing Site!
I just wanted to share this, if anyone is interested. It's a really fun editing program and you do it right online. It's called Picnik. My cousin Nancy introduced it to me and I've just played with it a little and thought I would share! I posted this pic yesterday and then I uploaded it into Picnik and added the frame. You can add stickers, frames, all kinds of things! You can use it free or, of course, you can upgrade to take advantage of a whole bunch of cool things! Enjoy!
More Christmas Cards!
Good morning!! Wow, it's cold out there! At least the snow has finally stopped. I was told it's -17*C. Brrrr! So, here's 2 more of my Christmas cards, I used the same image, but different layouts. I have more to show over the next couple days, so stay tuned! Don't forget, you can find "Tis The Season To Be Jolly" at the Stamps and Smiles store!

Tis The Season To Be Jolly!
Hello! I hope everyone is having a fantastic day or evening, wherever you may be! I had a chance to FINALLY sit down and get to work on my Christmas cards. I'm also entering this in Our Creative Corner's "Create a card or project with a Holiday Theme, Christmas or Hannukah" and The Fresh Batch sketch challenge. I used my Stamps and Smiles "Tis The Season To Be Jolly" stamp set for my whole card! I love that I was able to use one stamp set to complete it and not having to jump from set to set. I paper pieced Jolly's scarf and mitts. I think he turned out pretty darn cute!
The Olympic Torch Comes Through My Home Town Friday!!
I have some pretty exciting news! Friday afternoon, starting at 1:32, the Olympic Torch will be carried through my home town of Keswick, Ontario! I'm picking the kid's up at school and we're heading down to watch it with friends and grandparents. The kid's are excited and my mother in law bought all us girls the Olypic mitts and the boys got the hats. Andrew's class is actually going to see it as well, but he wants to hang with us. I found a great site where you can watch the Olympic Torch LIVE as it crosses the country!! It's pretty neat! If you'd like to check it out, click here. Be sure to tune in on Friday at 1:32 EST to see it go through my home town!
Ashleigh and Grandma's Gingerbread House of '09
I had to share this to. A couple wknd's ago, the kid's both stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's overnight and I decided to send a gingerbread kit for Ashleigh and Grandma to do. Andrew has no desire to MAKE one, but he can't wait to get into it!! LOL! Little did I know, Grandma had never made one like this before! It ended up taking about 4 hours to complete as the icing was to hard the first time, so Grandma had to make it from scratch from her own recipe and then it was too heavy so the roof caved in...lots of fun! So, in the end, they added toothpicks to hold the roof up and it looks beautiful. Great job guys! Ashleigh said we're not allowed to touch it till Christmas Day, but we had to laugh as we looked and there were 7 spots where there used to be gum drops, so when we asked her where they were, she just grinned from ear to ear. Hmmmm, someone's been sneaking!!
