A Little Minnie Mouse!

**LAST DAY FOR MY DT CALL OVER AT LASTING MEMORIES, YOU CAN CLICK THE BUTTON ON MY SIDEBAR TO GET THERE AND SEE WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!**

Happy New Years Eve!! Anyone have anything special planned? I think we're going to watch some movies we got for Christmas and play some board games. Santa brought us "Monopoly Canada" the electronic version. It uses bank cards! LOL! I'm looking fwd to playing it.

Here's another birthday card I put together the other night. I have 2 nieces with birthdays in January, so this is for one of them, but they'll have to wait and see which one!! I used my Mickey and Friends cricut cart for this one and my Martha Stewart punch.

Well, I'm off, have a Happy New Year's Eve all and stay safe!

A Little Magnolia....

I've been thinking the last while about moving my craft room to the spare room. Well, yesterday it hit me and away I went!! When we were in here, the pc room, it got a little crowded when someone was on here and Ash and I were scrapbooking. Well, I worked super hard yesterday and moved everything upstairs. Ash and I now have our own table and you would have laughed super hard to see Andrew and I trying to get this big HEAVY desk up there!! It took forever and alot of sweat and laughter, but we did it!! It looks awesome and I'm so happy. I even left a little corner for playing so I can have the daycare kids in there and just close the door if I have something I need to do. So, last night, I decided to work on a couple cards. Here's one! This is a little Magnolia I stamped from my friend Kelli. It's a birthday card, but those who's birthday's are in January will have to wait and see!!

I had to share these 2 photo's. The first one is of Ashleigh on Christmas morning. She asked for a laptop this yr, so Santa brought her one. Well, she opened this gift and she was looking at the box and had just asked what it could be when she realized WHAT it was! LOL! What a pic! The other is of Andrew acting too cool, lol, when he opened one of his bike parts he asked for. I love Christmas morning!

Our Christmas Trees

Hello friends! I hope Santa was super good to everyone!! Our kid's were spoiled and had a wonderful Christmas. Ashleigh got her own laptop and Andrew got his bike and all the customizable parts he asked for. Keith and I did as well. He bought me a beautiful diamond necklace and I bought him a new ring. We also got our goodies from the kid's/each other as well. It was nice though this year as we each bought each other something JUST from us. Ashleigh got Just Dance (original & 2) for Wii and it is AWESOME! We were in stitches yesterday, danced the afternoon away. Was great! We had a nice dinner last night and we're now off the rest of the week and really looking fwd to it. Hubby has to go in a couple days, but I am off till a week Tuesday! Yippee! I wanted to share some photo's with you. This year we decided to have 2 tree's. It was my first year decorating our tree with a theme. I went and bought all new lights/ornaments and went with red/silver and Ashleigh helped me with it. We LOVE it! Then a couple weeks ago, we went and chose a real tree...something we haven't done since Ash was a baby. So that was her tree to decorate and she did a beautiful job. That was our "Santa" tree and our family gifts were under the "theme" tree. Was nice actually bc when they were done their Santa gifts, we still had more to open. Worked out well! I got a new lens for my camera from Keith and the kids, so I was playing with it and managed to get pics of our trees with the lights on and they look so pretty! I just have to share. Happy holidays to you and yours and may you enjoy the rest of this holiday season!!!!

A VERY Special Recipe Box

I wanted to share something with you. Last night we had our Christmas gift exchange with my family and my mom gave all 3 of us (my brother, sister and myself) a recipe box that she made and she even did her best to match it to each of our kitchen decors. Inside are all the secret recipes from herself, my grandma and nanny who are both no longer with us, another grandma, my dad and even some of my aunt's! There are a lot of 'secrets' in this little box and it really meant alot to the 3 of us. It's something that's now been passed to us and we in turn will one day pass to our children. I just wanted to share this with you, but hmmm...I can't share the secrets, not quite yet. For now, they're ours to discover and enjoy!

Snow Friends....

Good morning! Wow, the countdown is certainly on isn't it? I have a TON of wrapping to do and we have to get Andrew's gift from the neighbor who has been storing it for us. Lots to do and very little time left!! Here's another of the Christmas cards I put together for my grandma. I love this one. Again, sweet and simple. She loved all her cards and it really made her day. She may even have some on hand for next yr now. I think since I'm still in the festive mood, I may make a package up for her now and put it away. Then I'll be sure to have them on hand for her. It really makes you realize, especially at a time like this, it's the little things that count.

(no, it's NOT supposed to be yellow snowflakes...I guess the stickles didn't like the black ink..oh well!)

Warm Holiday Wishes

A couple years ago, I made my grandma a pack of Christmas cards for her to give away. She's in a nursing home and it's quite hard for her to get out, so it was the perfect gift. Last yr, I ran out of time and didn't get a chance to make any and I heard through the grapevine that she was disappointed. So...the kids and I are heading up to surprise her tmw for lunch and I thought I would take her some cards. Here's a sample of what I've made so far. I think she'll like them, don't you? Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

(don't forget, you can click the pic to see it enlarged!)

Glitter/Ornament Day at school!

Good morning! Not alot of crafting time this week, but wanted to share some of the holiday things we've got going on!! This week at Ashleigh's school, they've had a Christmas themed day every day of the week. On Wednesday, it was glitter/ornament day. We wrapped her in ribbon, tied ribbon all through her ponytail and Keith found these really cool flashing necklaces. She had snowflakes flashing on her neck and Christmas lights on her waist. Was super cute!

Unfortuntely, I couldn't get the first pic to post right? Not sure what's happening, but you can get the idea!! Have a super fantastic day!!

***second post today, pls scroll down for more pics of my puppies!!***

It started snowing last night and it is STILL snowing here really good!! I took these first couple pics this morning. The second is showing the snow on the railing outside. There's alot and it's still coming down. The other is a pic of our pup, Buddy, and his gf over the fence, Maggie. She's a doll!! The other is our 2 dogs on our pool deck and you can get an idea just how deep this snow is already!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas from Buddy and Riley!

Are they not the CUTEST dogs ever?? LOL! Bud wasn't too happy at first as I was making him sit by the tree and he wanted to be with me. So once he was settled, I took another and he looks like he's smiling. Riley's just a happy camper too!! Bud LOVES this collar he has on, he goes and nudges it when he wants it on! It's too cute!!

Ashleigh's Gingerbread House!

I wanted to share some pics from one of our Christmas traditions. Every year we make a gingerbread house and this year was no exception! Ashleigh and I worked on it together and then I left most of the decorating to her. This was a really good kit. The icing actually sticks and turns hard!! So, here she is and I have to say, her fav show right now is Cake Boss and you should have seen her when she realized there was fondant in the kit! She was SUPER excited to get to play with it! Just like Buddy from Cake Boss!!! Have a great day all!

Gift Tags

Good morning and it's a snowy, cold and blowy one here today! The wind is crazy here. We're right by the lake, so we're getting MAJOR lake effect winds and it's super cold. Ashleigh came in from the bus stop last night in tears. It's awful. On a better note, I got to work on some tags last night. I wanted to keep them sweet and simple as they're for my young nieces, nephew and little daycare kids. So, seeing as they all LOVE Santa, I thought this was perfect. I did the Santa and then added white glittery stickles to his hair/beard etc and then used my ink to distress the tags and add some color. I think they're pretty cute!!! Hope everyone is warm and cozy and having a great day!

Project Tuesday - Pennant Banners!

Hello!! Guess what! It's time for another Project Tuesday! This one was pretty fun. We made "pennant banners" I was at a loss at first on what to do and then I decided to make a banner for my nephew with his name on it so he can hang it in his room. I hope he likes it!!! I just have to add some circle clips for hanging at the ends, but other than that, it's done! So, hop on over to Project Tuesday and join the fun!! We're looking for more people to join the DT there too, so check out the info while you're there!

LMCB # 18 - Inspirational Photo

Good morning! A snowy one here! Sorry we're a day late, but this week at Lasting Memories, we're challenging you to use this photo as your inspiration for your layout. I took this at our retreat a couple week's ago and just find it so relaxing and just a beautiful, soft photo.

For my layout this week, I have to admit, it's one from last year. I've been super busy and have not been near my craft room. I love this layout though and I feel it's inspired from the lights, colors...just the beauty of the photo as that's what I see in my 2 kiddo's. Christmas is my favourite time of the year, I just wish it was a little warmer!! So, come on over to Lasting Memories and show us what you find inspiring about the above photo. I'm off to get some stuff done and then I am setting up my table in front of the TV, maybe watching a Christmas movie and working on my Christmas cards. Enjoy your day!
