More Graduation Pages

Good morning! I haven't had a chance to do more with Andrew's book till this morning. Here's 2 more pages. The first one is of me with Andrew and his best buddy Thomas. They've been friends since about Grade 1 and now will embark on a whole new journey together as they start high school this fall. The second is a picture I snapped when my Aunt Linda walked up and just gave Andrew a big hug. He's never smiled like that for me! Hehehehe! I really love that picture. A proud moment for our boy!

My Little Mermaid

Good morning!! I just put this together this morning. I find with the summer months, I create when it hits me (if I can) otherwise nothing gets done! I just want to enjoy this weather while we have it. The humidity is gone and the nights are cooler now so the pool temp has definitely gone down, but not to worry, 2 days and counting and I'll be in it regardless! Can't wait for a week's holidays. No plans, just family time and R&R.
I made this layout completely out of my head and quite proud of myself! I'm trying to use my Cricut more and decided this is the perfect layout to get out my Life's A Beach cartridge!! Add a couple pearls, color up my mermaid with pearl chalks and voila! Love it!

Masculine Birthday Card

Morning! Here's a card I put together for my cousin to give to her friend. I used my Tim Holtz stamp set (vintage car) and a CTMH stamp for the sentiment. Paper is from Cosco.

Very rainy and cool here this morning, but according to the weather network, it'll be about 37* by this afternoon so I guess the AC stays on another day!! Hope everyone has a great day!

Introducing.....

(please scroll down for today's Project Tuesday post)

Hello!! Well, I am off on yet ANOTHER adventure! My cousin buys cards from me and recently emailed and asked me where she could find my sale items. So I said to look through my blog and then I thought, "Wow, there's a lot to look through, especially if she's only looking for something specific." So, I decided to start a NEW blog (yes, that's 3 plus my daughter's, thank goodness I'm a WAHM!) called Karen's Crafty Corner Shop. This will be a place for me to display all sale items ONLY. I'm working on cards, layout kits, die cuts and even product I have on hand for sale as well. So you never know what could be popping up! So, off I go on yet another adventure, wish me luck!

Well, hope you're all having a wonderful day or evening, wherever you may be. It's nap time here, so I better get to work :)

Graduation Layouts #3 - Andrew's Date and A Family Moment

If this is your first time seeing my Graduation Layouts, don't forget to scroll down for Layouts 1 and 2

Good morning! Here's some more pages from Andrew's Grad book. Andrew and his friend Rachel went to the ceremony together. Isn't she beautiful? They were so cute together and both so nervous. I was too!! The second page here is a family moment after the ceremony and then I redid that page to focus on Ashleigh's corsage. She had mentioned wanting one as well, so we surprised her. It's gone yellow, but it was actually little white carnations. I added in a little envelope so I could add it to the page.

Hello and happy Saturday! Here's some more layouts from Andrew's grad book. These pages focus on introducing the Grade 8 graduates (they came through an arbor) and Andrew receiving his grade 8 diploma and class photo. Things have changed since I graduated. Now they receive their diploma and a photo of the class in graduate attire and all the staff as well and it's in a really nice leather folder! If you missed Grad Layout #1, just scroll down! Enjoy!

Dabbling With Digi...!

2nd post today, pls scroll down to see what I've started with Andrew's Graduation album

I can't stay away from Picnik! LOL! They have layouts set up in there where you add your photo and then you go into another setting and add embellishments etc and then if you want to, you can print them out and then add ribbon..whatever you like! Ok, so it's a little like digi scrappin' right??

This is a photo from our trip to Florida in October 2007. Keith's parents watched the kids while we went on a dinner cruise. Was a lot of fun and yes, we were quite burnt! Ok, me more than him! LOL!

Graduation Layouts #1 - Grad Photo's

Hello! Remember a bit ago, I made up a graduation album? Well, I was going to sell it and then decided to keep it for Andrew's grad. So, I've been working away at it and you'll see pages from it over the next few days. Here's a couple pages where I used his grad photo's. I also included the proofs as well. I kept it pretty simple as I wanted it to focus mainly on him, plus it's supposed to be masculine right? Thought he might not appreciate ribbons, bows and embellies in there! (sorry, the pg's seem to be a little crooked in the photo's)

Lasting Memories Challenge # 2 - Buttons and Bows!

Good morning! First off...

Happy 7th Birthday to my nephew, Hayden!!

Today over at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges, we're challenging you to use buttons and bows on your layout! You have 2 weeks too enter and can't wait to see your layouts. For my layout this week, I decided to get started on some pics from 2007. My sister and her family rented a cottage for a week and our guys went for a couple days and then Keith and I went up for a day. So this is my niece and nephew. I chose "Splendor" paper from CTMH and I used my mini bow dabra to make my bow and added some cute flower buttons I had in my stash. I don't really use alot of ribbon on my layouts. I'm pretty simple with them, so this is out of my box. The pattern is from my CTMH Reflections book. Be sure to hop over to Lasting Memories to see what the DT created and don't forget to play along!!

I'm loving this program!! Well, hubby and I are off on the bike today to do the "Ride For Literacy" around our lake. This is our first time and we're looking fwd to it. Should be a fun time. My brother is joining us as well as our Uncle. I believe it's about a 2 hour ride and then we come back for lunch/games etc and then home. Something tells me I'll have a sore behind though!!

Wishing You...

Hello! This is my second post for today so feel free to scroll down for my Lasting Memories post as time is ticking!! This is a card I put together for my parent's upcoming 30th anniversary. I just need to find the right style of "Wishing You..." for the front and then I'll add "A Happy Anniversary" on the inside. I used a new paper pack from CTMH called "Cherry Oh" and I added liquid glass to the cherries. The chipboard shapes are from a new line I found at Pointer's called "Pepper and Friends" and this line is TOO CUTE!! I don't know if you can really see it, but there is glitter on the chipboard as well. They're adorable!

Hope everyone is having a great day and a great start to the wknd!! I'm entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Glitterbabes Challenge #3 - Sketch
  2. FBW #113 - Layers
  3. Sir Stampalot July Challenge - Lazy Hazy Days Of Summer
  4. Creative Card Crew - To Die For
