PLG #16 - Flutter By Butterfly

In under the wire, seriously! I've missed playing the PLG challenges and this one was calling my name!! I'm working on some baptism pages of my cousin's little one, Emma, who was baptized on Jan 22, 2012. I adore these photo's I took of her. I have another page ready to post tmw as well. What I found inspiring about the photo was the colors and the butterflies. I love butterflies. I didn't want to cover this page up to much because it's a very special background page - made from a photo I took at the church of a blanket made by Emma's Great Nana. That's one thing I love about My Memories Suite - I can make my OWN backgrounds!!

LMCB #73 - "We're Trashin' Our Layouts" this week!

Hey All!! It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at Lasting Memories!! Bet my post title had you thinking, "What the heck is she talking about?" We're asking you to use your 'trash' on your layouts this week. Scraps of paper, ribbon, old stickers..whatever it is, if it's scraps, it's perfect for this week's challenge! I try to keep my paper scraps with the corresponding paper, so when I finally chose my pics for this LO, I dug out my CTMH "Sasparilla" paper and here's all the scraps I had!!! (note that circle as you'll see it on my layout)

Here's what I came up with! Can you pick out the pieces from my scraps? I also had some tiny bits and pieces of flax around, so I pierced the little stars and sewed them. That black ribbon was actually in my trash bin for some reason, so out it came!! What do ya think??

Hello and welcome back!! So glad to see you back for Day 2 of our 2 day hop! I am amazed at all the talent out there, so you will be too!! Just remember, since this is a TWO-DAY hop,  you have until January 30th to post your comments on both days of the blog hop to be eligible for the GRAND PRIZE...  Thanks for joining us! For the hop today, I've created a Memory Box using CTMH "Memory Keeper" which is 9.5x10 and the front is magnetic. Love this!! I use my "Cindy Lou" cartridge and cut out "Doily3" at 7.5" and then I cut the "Flower5" at 6.5". I did it in shadow first then layered it up. I used my EK border punch and added some bling!! I've also made a matching card!! Hope you like it!

For my co-ordinating card, I used the same cart and cut the flower at 4"! I love how it all flows together!!

For the hop today, I've created a little treat bag which says "Thanks" on the front. I used my CTMH "Art Philosophy" cartridge to cut out the bag as well as the large butterfly and then my "Cindy Loo" for the sentiment. The little flower and butterfly are Martha Stewart punches. I placed "Thanks" on a CTMH chipboard die cut that I sponged in "petal" ink to make it pop a little better. Hope you like it!!

FBW #187 - Embossing!!

Good morning friends!!It's Wednesday and that means we have a new challenge at Flutter By Wednesdays today!! Thank you all so much for joining us last week!! This weeks challenge is...embossing! Just be sure to have a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation. For my card today, I chose to emboss with my Cuttlebug folders - paisley, divine swirls and swiss dots - I love the color contrast on this one as well. My butterflies are actually punched out (Martha Stewart punch) of glittery paper, but you can't really tell here. How's everyone's week going so far? We're halfway there, thank goodness!! I've been super busy not to mention a son with exam stress and a hubby who's coughed so hard he blew his back muscles :( Not a good week!! And now Ashleigh is home with a nasty cough. On Sunday we had my cousin's baby daughter's baptism and this is the card I made for her. Felt so good to get in my craft room and play with paper!! I get so caught up in digital that it's been awhile since I've been in my craft room. This is one of DigiDarla's images, isn't she sweet? Hubby got me the punch for Christmas and love it!! I colored this little gal up with prisma's and added a little glitter and here we go!!

Good morning!! It's time for a new challenge at Lasting Memories!!! This week we're challenging you to a "Recipe Challenge" but not a crafty recipe!! We're talking REAL recipe!! Something you bake, cook, make - that sort of recipe!! Could be bath salts, baked goods even fancy drinks!! Here's what I decided to share with you. 

These are FABULOUS!! **PEANUT ALLERGY** is a biggy here though. Keith's grandma used to make these every Christmas and I've carried on the tradition. This yr they seemed to be even more of a hit with Andrew especially. I couldn't keep them in the house!! Have a go at these, you'll love them!! You have GOT to check out what the DT came up with! A New Challenge Blog!

Good morning! A dreary one here in Ont .. crazy weather these days!! I had a chance to play in my digital software the other night for this week's Paper Lovin' Gals challenge, which is this inspirational photo...
