Today I was out weeding my garden's and I decided to grab my big camera and play a little. See what kind of shots I could get. I've never been a big gardener, but when we bought this house in March of '94, we had no idea just how many flowers/gardens were under the snow! Over the years I've grown to enjoy it and the last couple years, I've started to love it even more. We have the bees, hummingbirds, butterflies...it's just very peaceful. So, come, walk with me in my garden.
The first 2 are of our 6 mth old (yes, just 6 mths and 93 lbs) pup, Riley, who LOVES my gardens, the third is a robin's nest with 2 babies, the 4th if you look closely, you can actually see the water drops on the leaves and the bee pollinating the bells and the rest are some of the flowers in my gardens. I hope you like them.
Enjoy....

Stampin' Out Alzheimer's
I was bloghopping this morning and went to visit Clearly Inspired and learned about "Stampin' Out Alzheimer's" You can sign up at Stampin' Out Alzheimer's and for a minimum $5 donation, you get to enter, play and win! Here's what Kim at Clearly Inspired had to say about it...
"The big event has finally arrived! The challenges have begun at the Stampin' Out Alzheimers website, and you do not want to miss all the fun and fabulous prizes! If you haven't registered and made a minimum $5 donation (which will go 100% to the Alzheimers Association!) you can do so by clicking on the yellow "give" button in the Stampin' Out Alzheimers box on the right sidebar of my blog. It'll take a little while to approve your membership, and then you're in! This has been a true labor of love for Jen Tapler, and she's been buried under a ton of work to make this event happen, so don't panic if you don't get instant approval."
I've added the widget to my sidebar as well, so enter, play and have fun! Let's all work together to STAMP OUT ALZHEIMER'S!
I Won!
I am so excited! My friend Christine called me yesterday and said "Have you chk'ed out Bloggabella?" I hadn't, so she said to go look! As you know, Stamping Bella runs a weekly contest. Entries are due in on Thursday at 5pm EST and posted on Friday. You then have another chance to win by posting a comment in the 'peanut gallery'! Last week, Emily said all the entries were so good, she couldn't choose, so she put all the names in a hat and her husband drew Carolyn, who happens to come out to our scrapbook club once a mth!! Then for the comments, Nicky pulled #4 and that's ME!! How funny is that! And on the wknd at our crop, Nancy won the gift cert from Stamping Bella and she's my cousin AND a monthly club member!! Isn't that great! Congrats to us all!!

'Experience Life' Layout
I decided to get started on my Florida/Disney/Seaworld album last Saturday at our Crop For The Cure event. I thought "I have 12 hours, I'll get TONS done!" Well, I got 6 pages done! LOL! It's amazing how fast time flies when you're truly enjoying yourself. We also did prize draws every half hour to an hour and Kelli and I were busy with lunch/dinner preps etc, but we both managed to get work done.
Here's one of my layouts! This one is from SeaWorld...working on these pages makes me want to hurry back again!

Scrapbook For The Cure, A HUGE Success!
Hello everyone! Yesterday my friend Kelli and I hosted "Scrapbook For The Cure", an all day scrapbooking event to raise money for Breast Cancer on behalf of Re/Max Landmark Keswick and Kelli and Karen's Scrapbooking Club. We had everything donated, so we were able to give 100% of the proceeds to Southlake Reginal Health Center to aid in Breast Cancer Research. We ran the event from 10am - 10pm and we had a FANTASTIC day. Food was amazing, company was fantastic...just an all 'round great day. We had 2 local papers cover the event and I have to tell you, we're so very proud to say....
WE RAISED CLOSE TO $1700.00!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure you can tell at this point, this is an album I'm putting together for our daughter. I have to get working on Andrew's as well. Again, this is using 9x9 Simply Snapshots "Sweet Pea" album pages. I've added my owb embellishments, journalled and I'm done! This album has been so easy for me to put together and very easy to keep up with. I highly recommend these pages!

I am working on a 6x6 CTMH Accordian album for my new niece, Isabella (surprise Lee Ann..lol) and when I saw Nicky's sketch, it was PERFECT for the front of this little album!! I'll showcase it again once all the pics are in it. Enjoy!

Here's another and I've turned the one side so that the journalling area is at the top of the page and I used my cricut to cut out the letters and on the second page, the journalling is on the left of the page and I used the journalling prompts at the top and Ashleigh and I filled in with answers! Pretty easy huh?

Fun In The Leaves, 9x9 Layout
Good morning! Hope all my Canadian friends/family had a wonderful Victoria Day long wknd. A little early this year, so was a little chilly, but nice to have that extra day! I didn't get a chance to play in my scraproom this wknd, but I did want to share some 9x9 layouts with you. These layouts are done using Close To My Heart's "Simply Snapshots" album pages. I LOVE these pages. They make scrapbooking so easy! You add your 4x6 photo, a little journalling and embellishments if you wish and you're done!! They are fantastic and very easy to work with. This particular paper is "Sweet Pea" and I've also used "My Stickease Journalling Prompts" as well. Again, love these as well!
Over the next couple days, I'll showcase some more to show you what you can do with these great snapshot pages! The "Simply Snapshot" album pages sell for $10.95 each and you receive 12 pages, so you can make 24 (9x9) layouts!! The journalling prompts sell for $4.95 and include 2 (6x12) clear adhesive sheets and you can get them in "About Me" which is what I used, or "Seasons"
