I forgot to post my creation for our Digitally Sweet challenge this past Friday! That`s because I was away, tucked in a little cabin/B&B with a good book and some scrapbooking supplies ..

LM #159 - Odd and Even!

Hey everyone! Happy Sunday! It's time for a new challenge at Lasting Memories and this week we're challenging you to do a layout with an even number of photos and odd number of embellishments. Fun, right? I had fun with this one. I dug out some old picks of our dog Riley, who will be 5 in Nov, when we first brought him home. What a sweet (BIG) puppy! Don't you love these pics!? These are from the day we brought him home. Curled right up with Ashleigh and out like a light - the 2 of them!! More to come over the next couple days :) You'll want to see those too!

LM #158 - Family Vacation

Thanks for coming by! Today's challenge at Lasting Memories is "Family Vacation" and I have been itching to share these Florida sunset pics with you! We try and go to Florida every year, but I think we'll have to skip this yr as we'll have both kid's in their graduating yr (gr 8 and 12) and then it's off to college or university for Andrew, so we're saving up! These photos are from 2010 and you should have seen this sunset - the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen. We were at Clearwater Beach and it was just incredible. What you see here is what we seen in the sky. Amazing. That's what you call nature's art!

DSC #53 - Anything Goes w/Cedar Chest Designs

Hello!! Happy Friday the 13th! Once again, it's all about "Anything Goes" at Digitally Sweet! Isn't this a great image? I coloured it in PSE9 and the loaded it up to my MMS and after using a couple different kits, voila!

Love on Canvas

I tried my hand, for the first time, at a canvas layout. I am so proud of this one! It's actually a kit from CTMH and I've had it sitting on my desk for a couple months, waiting for inspiration to bonk me in the forehead lol and it did on the wknd. A yr ago this past April, my grandma passed - she was almost 92, so lived an amazing life - still doesn't make it easy though, does it. So this is a tribute to her. I love this photo of her. She looked so vibrant and happy! I added the yellow rose as that was her favourite colour rose and that was what we had at her committal service. I'm proud of this piece and I know she certainly would be too!! I'm sure she heard me cursing, just a teeny bit, at those rhinestones and she would have had a good laugh for sure! But I did it!! I didn't have to throw them out! Yay me!!! LOL!

I thought this was the perfect challenge to showcase these goofy pics of our boys. We went to a cottage last summer and Keith found this squeaky toy and of course, you know me, photo opp!! LOL! So we had a little fun! Poor Riley (top) looks like he's had more than enough "Cat"arona! Buddy, well he's not giving it up ..

LM #155 - Fishy Tales

It's all about tall tales and fish tales at Lasting Memories this week!! We all have one of those don't we! I chose to do another 2 page lo from our trip to Florida in 2010. Yes, still catching up. I still need to do 2011/12! Every yr that we go, we always spend lots of time fishing off the Clearwater Pier. The kids (and hubby!) love it and always catch lots. I used CTMH Surf's Up paper and chipboard on this one.
