Child's Play - "Scrabble"!!

One of my favorite games growing up and even now is Scrabble which is our inspirational idea at Child's Play this week!!! So here's my take on this awesome game ... I chose to do another LO for grandma's book and I used the colors of the Scrabble game and made sure to add words on my LO. I really like the way it turned out.

LMCB #90 "Leaving Footprints Behind"

Better late than never, right? This is one of those challenges I had a completely different idea in mind and came up with this one!! I wanted to add another page to my grandma's book as she is "Leaving Footprints Behind" which is our challenge this week at Lasting Memories AND we're being sponsored by Digi Darla too!! I realized AFTER I was done this LO that I didn't add one of her images, but you'll have to be sure to check out what the DT came up with and how they used Digi Darla's images. 

For my LO, I chose to use a piece of art we found when cleaning grandma's room out. I have more to add as we took photo's of all her drawings/paintings. This particular one is amazing - just look at her sketch, it's so close isn't it? She was very talented!!

For my card today, I used Bugaboo's "Day After Forever". Isn't this gorgeous? I had planned on making it for our anniversary, but I thought the image was just a touch girlie, so we'll be giving this to our daughter when she passes grade 6 in June. Both our kid's are doing amazing in school and I know she would love this!!

I am SO excited! I created my very first card sketch for our challenge at Digi Darla's this week! It's "Anything Goes" as long as we can see this sketch on your creation. For my card, I chose a new RAKstar file and love this!! My image is Digi Darla's "Time For Tea" and it's pre colored. Isn't it cute?

For my LO today, I chose to do another page for my Grandma's book. She was a very special person in my life, especially when I was little, I spent a lot of time at my grandparents and these are some photo's that came into my hands after she passed in April. I thought it very fitting to do my LO with these photo's this week and to celebrate the time with my grandma.

I was checking out RAKstar today and the new May Mega Kit is up and there's some awesome challenges going on, so I did Connie's "Use It All - May" challenge and we get this kit free and we have to use all the pc's and then we get a freebie just for playing along! I decided to do a pic from this yr's Easter dinner at my sister's place. Isn't my niece Maddie a cutie pie?? I think so!!

LMCB #89 - "Something Smells Fishy ..."!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! 

We have a really fun challenge this week at Lasting Memories!! "Something Smells Fishy .. " Yep, you read that right!! LOL! Oh I am SO excited to see the entries this week!! For my LO, I am still working on finishing my Florida album from 2007 (and 2010, 2011 lol) and chose to do some more pics from our "Sealife Safari" adventure. I love the title I came up with for this one. Was a fun experience. I thought, after the fact (and glue dots) that I should have put the turtle/fish on the blue and swaped them all around - but it works and I love it!! This week at Child's Play, the challenge is a Classic Toy Challenge: Mr. Potato Head. 

For my take on the challenge, I went with the vibrant colors and of course the glasses :)

 I love vibrant colors that just pop!! I chose a photo that my daughter took of myself, my sister and her 3 kid's on Easter wknd.

LMCB #87 - "Digging For Metal"

Wow, where did the time go?? It's time for another challenge at Lasting Memories and so sorry I'm late!! This week we're "Digging For Metal"!! How cool huh? We want to see some kind of metal on your layout - embellishments, metallic paper - you get the idea!! My layout today is from Andrew's 11th birthday and we had a pool party for him and a couple friends. He's about to turn 16 lol. He wouldn't be happy about these pics bc he looks SO different now! He's gotta be 6' now and super skinny. Anyway, for my metal, I used a hinge on my page. All my embellishments are anything BUT metal that I could use on here!! Hope you like it.
