LMCB #49 - It's Christmas In July!

Hello and good morning (or evening, depending where you are!!) It's Sunday, which means 2 things ...

1. I've missed an entire week of blogging!
2. It's a new challenge at Lasting Memories!!!

We're on holidays, so I've hardly been on here, but we've had a great week!! I even went and wrote my bike license!! Yep, ME!! I am now licensed to ride a motorcycle! Now we're looking for a cheap learning bike for me and then off to the wknd trainers course. I still can't believe I did it! LOL!

Now onto this weeks challenge at Lasting Memories!! It's Christmas in July!!! Here's my LO for this week. I chose to do a digital one and love how it turned out. You have GOT to check out the rest of the DT layouts!! Awesome!!!! Hope everyone's having a great wknd! We have one more day here and then back to work on Tuesday. Not looking fwd to it .. these holidays go to fast!!

We're Going "Green and Clean" at Digi Darla's!

Good morning!!! Guess what today is!! It's my first DT post for Digi Darla's!! Super excited about really getting into digi's over the next 6 mths. Can't wait to play! So, our challenge for you is "Green and Clean" so green on your project with nice clean lines. I kept mine very clean as I wanted my main focus to be the image - which I colored up in PSE9!! Loving this coloring idea!! I then sponged on some sky and grass and keeping with the green theme, I added some green butterflies. Check out the ladybugs too .. cute huh?

LMCB #48 - It's All About The Title!

Hello!!! Hope everyone is having a great wknd! This week at Lasting Memories, it's "All About The Title"! We want to see those titles popping!! This LO is another from our trip to Disney/Seaworld in 2007. I love how they painted Ashleigh's face up and thought this title was "picture perfect"! "It's Party Time" & An Award!

Good morning! Well, imagine my surprise when I was checking out fellow Lasting Memories DT blogs, I came across something that's been left for me!!! Check this out!

Is that not the cutest award!! Thank you Brenda!!! I'm honored! Will be back to send this on later today (hopefully!)  Now onto today's card! Here's another card I made with one of my newest cartridges! This one is from "Just Because" cards. I made this for my nephew, Hayden, who had a birthday on Monday!! He's 8 years old already! Time flies us by! We went in on a bike for him and he's getting better and better with it. It's a BMX and he had to get used to it - different brakes etc - but he told me he's loving it!!! Morning! I've been doing a little 'cricut' shopping lately! Here's a card I made using "Straight From The Nest" .. isn't it cute? I didn't get a pic of the inside, but I had even cut 2 lovebirds and the words "love birds" out and put it on the inside. I am loving this cart!!!! I gave this to my parents for their anniversary today!! Happy Anniversary!

LMCB # 47 - Distressing!

Morning!! Today's a new challenge at Lasting Memories! It's all about distressing this week! I just realized, these 2 photo's are different colors, but it's the SAME paper! I'm in a rush and pre-posting, so you get the idea, right? Gotta love lighting! So, this week we're distressing our LO's and for mine, I chose to do a LO using pics from my birthday last yr. I still have to journal, but we had a great time!!! The paper is a kit from CTMH "You & Me" which I thought very fitting for this LO. I used distress inks on everything, the paper has a distressed look to it and I distressed the edges of the 12x12 CS. Be sure to hop over and see what everyone else did and come out and play along!! I'm Still Here With Some Great News!

Good morning! Still here, just hardly inside!! From the looks of the humidity coming back, I will be this wknd though! May feel in the 40's!! Crafty time! So, I have some great news!! I entered a DT call a couple weeks ago and I've been asked to be on the DT for Digi Darla's! Super exciting! You still have about a day and a half to enter the current challenge, Lady In Red. LMCB #46 - Mosaic Layouts!

Hello!! How super cool is this layout!! This weeks challenge at Lasting Memories is mosaic layouts so I dug out my trusty CTMH "Magic" book and found this pattern. It is super cool and allows for more photo's on the little pop out piece! What do ya think? These are underwater photo's that hubby took on one of his snorkeling adventures on our 2007 Florida trip. I have yet to try it so I live it through his photo's. Good morning!! Here's a cute little card I put together that I am going to send to my grandma. The image is from Digi Darla. Isn't she cute?? I actually wanted to try something different, so I pulled her up in my PSE and colored her in there. I've never done that before, was fun!!

"FORE!" Family Vacation 2003

Hello!! Here's some more of my 'old style' layouts! These are from a family day trip to Santa's Village. Was so much fun and what a great place. Unfortunately, Andrew is too old for there now, but I may take Ash one more time this summer. I personally love it. Who wouldn't love Christmas in the warmth!! The first LO, Ashleigh had never played mini put and she got a hole in one right off the bat!!! Then after that, the kid's enjoyed the splash park.

LMCB #45 - Summer Album - "Fun In The Sun"!!

Hello!!!!! Hope everyone is having a FAB wknd!! We have an awesome challenge at Lasting Memories this week and we really hope you'll join us! We're making summer themed albums!! There are so many neat album ideas out there that I thought this would be a fun one to try. Doesn't have to be something over the top and extremely hard at all!! Here's mine!

I used a CTMH "My Creations Circle Album" that I had on hand and punched out all the scalloped circles and embellished and then distressed the edges. If I remember right, there's 22 circles! I haven't added pics yet as I want to wait for good summer photo's. Now hurry on over to Lasting Memories to see what's happening - we have a surprise this week!! Also, you HAVE to see what the DT did with their albums! They blow me away every week!!!

To all my fellow Canadians!! Hope you have a GREAT day today!! Celebrate and enjoy the day! Today's LO's are from a trip my in-laws took my daughter and nephew on. They went to Lionels Petting Zoo and they LOVED it!! I'm not sure of the yr but I would say 2004 - 2005. Again, back to my 'beginner' scrapbook days!!
